- Update 1.42 for Gran Turismo 7 has been released on January 25, 2024.
In this video we introduce various update content including the BVLGARI Vision Gran Turismo, a digital concept car with the DNA of BVLGARI, the Genesis X Gran Berlinetta Vision Gran Turismo Concept embodying the athletic elegance pursued by Genesis, and the famed micro-off roader of Japan, the Suzuki Jimny XC '18.

Nah, GT7 will last longer than that. GTS was just an half baked title not a true mainline GT, anyway. Also, Kaiz stated GT7 is going to be a live service. I think the support will end in 2025-2026. We are going to get GT8 in 2026 at best, probably 2027

@@MsSirAndy GT7 isn't a live service title. To be a viable GAAS you need to monetise content yet it is free in GT7. GT8 will be announced within 12-18 months.

I think they need to add more regular road cars, that's the thing about Gran Turismo, you can find very obscure cars there to suit every taste, but in general I don't think this update is bad, the Jimny and these two VGTs are quite interesting

They still haven’t brought back that International Pikes Peak in GT7 so that we can use stocked or tuned Japanese cars and German cars for touge racing and added modes to that International Pikes Peak where you can choose a section of Uphill or Downhill race. Makes it even super fun.
@@Brandonlight1302why would they bring Pikes Peak? The thing about PD having an exclusive license isn't true, they're just the main sponsor of the event.
Hell they're the main sponsor of the Nurburgring 24h race too and they obviously don't have exclusive rights over using the track in videogames

I feel like the least they could do is have a mini championship event for each invite car brand as a way to earn invites. It could still be a grind and a challenge to earn them, but at least it would be achievable . Wanted the Carrera GT from day one. Still no invite. Such a frustrating system with ridiculous odds. At this rate, I may never drive the Carrera GT in this game
@@benniehitchcockthis. They really should’ve made it so you have to do like a race or something that gives you the ability to unlock the cars instead of getting lucky in a spin just to get an invite
I’ve made close to a billion credits, driven 100k miles, completed every race and license, have done everything possible in the game, and yet I cannot get the Citroen Road Car invite to save my life. Very frustrating.
Wow those are the cars no one wanted. Jimny is the best one here. Only cause hes real. For gods sake you could sometimes listen to the players and not make a commercial out of a decent game

Also, have you visited the livery editor lately? Talk about making a commercial out of a game...Of the close to 400 cars in my collection, easily 10% of them have Martini liveries. I've literally bought the brand because I saw the logo, associated it with the many liveried cars with the logo, and bought it...

The fact that the track is also a dash for this upcoming race and there not being a new track is a little weird. Figured a blank space in the car meant one of the update cars, would have thought the same for the track.

YESSS! So hyped they added the Jimny because I own a 2020 model in real life 😁 I have the JB74 version though with the bigger 4cyl engine, wide wheel arch flares etc. This one in game is the Japanese exclusive KEI JB64 version with a turbo 3cyl. Still awesome they added it in the game, hope they also add my version aswell 🤞
My other older 1997 Suzuki 4x4 is sort of in the game already too 😂 I have a Suzuki Vitara which is the Escudo in Japan, you know the famous red Pikes Peak rally version since like GT2.
Wish they added Holden back in Gran Turismo, I also have a 1994 Holden Commodore ute. That'd be the dream having all 3 of my cars in GT7 using PSVR2 👌

How about some HUD improvements in PSVR2? Like a DELTA TIME for time trials? Why no delta time? I don't understand. PSVR2 is great but it needs a few tweaks to the HUD!! Button press to disable and enable the HUD would be epic too.
Imagine asking something reasonable. Heck, even 2D drivers need improved HUD, but they simply can't do it.
They go worse and worse with every game release.
@@JJ-mz6ed Yeah I quit trying to understand PD and just get what enjoyment I can out of GT7. It has so much more potential though. Maybe it's not PD or KAZ's fault though, maybe it's Sony making KAZ and PD do certain things a certain way. It's hard to know who do blame for the shortcomings and obviously easily fixable things.
Sort out BoP for Mazda 3 gr4 in sport mode. Its turning into a one make race. Since when is a Mazda a faster option than a Ferrari?
Todos coinciden en que empezamos flojo el año en GT7, 3 autos uno normal, dos concept VGT. Y lo peor sin Circuito. ¿Cuando piensan traer Apricot Hill Raceway o Red Rock Valley Speedway? Y lo otro ¿Respetaran la temática de cada uno para no volver a cometer el error como lo fue Carretera 1 que debió ser Grand Valley Speedway?
Y te entiendo claramente gran valley Highway es otro circuito distinto ya que gran valley Speedway no ha regresado todavía

@@ams_mace3084 no puedo, desde Gran Turismo 1 hasta Gran Turismo 6, se Respeto muy bien la temática del circuito tal cual. En cambio en GT7, no. lo cual no paso con los tres anteriores. High Speed Ring, Trial Mountain y Deep Forest Raceway. (Solo que a estos dos les desfoestarón un poco). cosa que me da la sensación de que volverán a faltar el respeto con los demás que vengan a futuro.

Sorry, if there is no track to be released, at least fix the old track at least? You guys must know it, because High Speed Ring never shows up again after wall riding drama in GTWS, and there are certain a lot to fix.
I really liked the addition of the Suzuki Jimmy but it's still a very weak update, I hope it's because of the development of the GT8
probably isnt, game developers also go on holidays. after releasing that massive spec-II they needed a well-deserved break. GT7 has been out for only 2 years, im guessing it'll be another 3 or 2 years until 8 comes out
@@petta0616I think 2025, since the updates are very mid for the past years. Only spec 2.0 is the best since the release.
@@haziqhashim2618 of course, spec 2.0 felt like a complete overhaul to the game. But I do think (or at least i hope since I'm not able to buy a PS5) that GT7 will last for longer than 2025, it just seems a bit early. GT7 isn't a bad game, its a massive upgrade for sport. I mean, look at how long GTS lasted. From 2017 to 2022, and the updates aren't too far off from how they were from sport. A 5 year life span is what I'm expecting, or maybe even more.

Hopefully by next month or March, they'll add a few more tracks to the game. I think after the Spec 2.0 update which did add more tracks, the people of Polyphony Digital were worked to their bones and needed to recharge their batteries. I do believe that was GT7's biggest update so far, so all I think we can do is be patient and wait until they give us word about a new track or few. At least last month, they gave us a Roulette with a guaranteed car and an automatic 200,000 credits, which I think pays off.
All that got added was a snow track with three layouts hardly anything exciting
@@ethangraham1392 Maybe so, but GT Sport doesn't have any snow track. Also, I think the reason why Sport had so many updates is because it was much smaller compared to GT7. Basically Sport was Gran Turismo 7 Prologue, just that they decided not to name it that.

The main support will end in 2025-2026 according to my predictions, with only bugfixes and smaller tweaks from 2026 and upwards. I see GT8 being announced in Summer 2025, with a late 2026 or early/mid 2027 release. What do you think?

Dear Polyphony Digital. Why the close chase camera is so inconsistent? The camera is close to the Suzuki Jimny, but so far away from Genesis VGT. Also, some cameras are so low that I can't see the road in front of the car, example: Abarth 595 Esseesse '70
Please give us camera settings for cars so we can tune the view, height, distance...

@@tugradd8961 oh okay thought you might have possibly been an American because most don't know the Suzuki Jimny name over there as they only received the 2nd gen ages ago and it was renamed the Suzuki Samurai in the North American market. It has a few different names across the world but Jimny is the most used and recognised name its known by, followed by Suzuki Sierra or some markets double up those names and called it the Suzuki Jimny Sierra.
Here in Australia we knew them by Sierra in 1st and 2nd gen, then Jimny for 3rd and this new 4th gen.
If you still don't know what they are its a small four-wheel drive off-road mini SUV.
The one they added to the game is the Japanese exclusive KEI version called JB64 with a tiny 658cc 3cyl turbo engine to meet KEI regulations, but the "global" JB74 export versions have a larger 1.5L 4cyl na engine, along with wide wheel arch flares etc and I own one in real life a 2020 model.
Amazing off road, extremely capable even stock standard. Some people even race them rally style, or even lower them and tarmac races etc.
