- I'm back at @oaktree-motorhomes and this time were talking about motorhome and campervan handovers. I know what it's like to finally find the motorhome or campervan you've been searching high and low for, you've found the perfect one and you can't wait to get out there, hit the open road and start your adventures!
But wait! I know I know! You need to know how to use it, how does the fridge, the boiler, the gas, the outside shower point, the aircon the list goes on and on of all the things that you need to know how to use.
That's where this video comes in! Follow the hints and tips in this video will most certainly set you up for success when taking ownership of your new motorhome.

Should be told the correct tyre pressure fot that motorhome i think thats so important
Yes good point, its so important to get the correct tyre pressures. That info is usually on a sticker on the inside of the doors or inside the fuel flap if it isn't provided at time of handover

Perhaps when one buys a motor home , the instructions that are given at the time should also be written down, by the company that are selling it..
Excellent idea. When I bought my motorhome I got a full rundown of everything and as a total newbie it was much appreciated. But by the time I got home I'd forgotten everything 😂

I purchased a converted Ford Transit Custom Campervan and made a lot of mistakes when picking it up.
I didn’t really listen to the handover due to my excitement but also did not check the finishing…
I had seals that come off, Barn door handle fell off, Drivers arm rest come off within a month🤬
I however love my Camper and the many European visits to come!

Great advice as I bought privately and it had no booklets to help me, got there in the end but I have had previous experience with Motorhome.

I couldn't find any checklist for us to copy n paste / print out to take with us in the description. It would be AMAZING if you could make one for all of us to download and use of all the things to check. I know you covered it in this video, but a nice little handy checklist would come in clutch on buy day to make sure we don't miss anything! Cheers mate, Subbed!

Quick idea daz, would the like of oaktree motorhome be able to make a little pack computer written witg step by step with all vital information and how to's, and possible problem's that may occur and how to overcome them, plus obviously a visual check with the dealers as stated. v
Thanks for the video. I think it’s a scandal that you purchase a new motorhome and it is not supplied with gas bottles and you are expected to find your own. There should be a law requiring the manufacturer or dealer to ensure they are fitted, or at least one.
What 12 voltage aircon would you recommend 🤔
I don't really have much experience tbh, I know there are a few options on the market, the best known probably being Dometic but that unit is around £2.5k
