Thanks for the shoutout! I goofed up a bunch, too, when I first tried it. It definitely takes a lot of trial and error, but once you get the hang of it, it's so addictive. One other tip I have is if the blade doesn't cut some of the fabric, you can use one part of the blade to perforate the holes you need. I hope that makes sense.
That is a great tip, thanks for sharing it!! I’m relieved that I’m not the only one who struggled at first lol 😂 Thank you for helping me get started, I really appreciate it, Leah!
Thank you for telling us what not to do that helps us all out. Most people just show you how to do it they never talk about mistakes they learned from. Your blanket turned out beautiful love the colors you mixed together.
Your timing of this video is great! I got a kit for making my own no sew fleece blanket, but after reading the instructions, I decided I didn't want to cut out corner squares & make all the cuts to do the fringe. I think I do need to invest in a rotary cutter & skip blades. Thank you so much for sharing, & helping me get the confidence to practice then tackle mine when I feel comfortable! I definitely would have been disappointed if I ruined the kit! 😊🧶
Yay, I’m so glad I posted it then! I do like the crochet edges better than the fleece fringe ones too. Probably because I’m obsessed with crochet! 🤷🏻♀️😂 Good luck with your project! I’d love to know how it turns out!
@@ShannonTalksYarn I like the crochet edges better as well, & the blanket won't be smaller from doing fringe. Thanks so much! Totally obsessed with crochet myself! 🧶💙
Your unicorn 🦄 fleece blanket is so cute and colorful. I found you through Deija’s channel. New subbie - looking forward to seeing more of your videos. xoxo
I love Heritage and Home Crochet! Thank you for watching and subscribing, I’m headed over to check out your channel, thank you for introducing yourself! 🥰
You’re welcome, and thank you for watching! Oh my gosh he has two speeds. He is either moving nonstop or he is asleep!! 😂😂😂 I didn’t realize until I was editing that he was running around so much lol 🤷🏻♀️😂
I hope my mistakes can help anyone who wants to start using a skip blade to add crochet borders to fleece!
Thank you for the clear explanations. You helped me a lot. The cutter intimidates me, too.
Right!?!?!?! There's no room for error lol! Glad it helped tho!

Thank you so much! I appreciate that and I appreciate you watching and commenting too. Sometimes I feel like all I do is share mistakes!! 😂😂😂
Thank you! Exactly what I need for my Project Linus blankets! ❤️
You’re very welcome! It’s so much faster than crocheting a whole blanket but still gives that handmade feel. That’s a great organization!
Thanks for sharing that unicorn blanket is so cute!!
You’re welcome! I think I’m going to make more of those for quick gifts!

Yay, you are in the right place then lol!!!!
Which is why my husband refers to this as "yarn tube" instead! LOL! He doesn't mind as long as I keep making him wearables!
@@melodymeckling5524 that's so awesome!!!
Thanks for the tips! 💕

Thanks for the tips. Your blanket came out so nice. Got a kick out of your dog going back and forth and up the stairs;)

I sew a blanket stitch around the blanket. I don't have a skip blade
That is a great idea, I think I will try that the next time, I’ve never really gotten where I feel super confident with the skip blade!
