These chippers really do work on cardboard. I run it through a second time as its so easy and does help. It seems to be as good as leaves for compost so far.
Thank you SO much! I've spent literally HOURS lately looking for a cheap domestic chipper or shredder for my cardboard. I came across your video almost by accident yet this is exactly what I need - although not sure I have an isolated circuit anywhere as it's in my home. Hope that won't be a problem!... unfortunately the $1180 IS. What a shame.
Yeah... $1500 now. The whole world bitches about how we should be recycling more, and how we need to be "more green". But everyone wants to shake you down, like you don't have other bills to pay and other shit to buy. $1500 to shred CARDBOARD? Maybe if I were operating a business, but I just want this shit for my HOME.
But... but.. but... it has PATROIT in the name! So, it must be very AMERICAN to buy this OVERPRICED ITEM. (Which, as the video will show, this product is NOT intended for... since, extended use would clearly overheat the motor... as industrial use is not "patient".)
So glad you had those heavy leather gloves to handle cardboard! This is an assault on the morons that have to attack every video over safety issues, not the content creator.
i want to use it for bedding. we have chickens and guinnea pigs and go through a lot of bagged paper bedding. . this a very cost effective means to make our own. thanks.
why do you not have any wood chipper manuals available for customers who have lost theirs? It’s very odd that a company would not have this information so customers can take apart/replace parts which you know is needed. I’ve bought food products from your company , but I am halting any other purchases ( generator) after running into this issue. Just very odd a company has a generic manual and diagram online and that’s all they offer.
Very low power. It struggles with 1" branches. Also will overheat easily if you feed it to fast and you'll have to wait 20 minutes or so for it to cool down enough. Afterwards you'll hit the reset on the motor and it will start if it's cool enough. I use a dedicated 20 amp line and a 50ft 12/3 extension cord. It's not a bad way to go since I simply burn everything larger than an inch. A bit of a pain. I was expecting something better for the money. At least its low maintenance.
You know... if I have to take the time to pre-process the material into narrow strips in the first place, I think I'm just going to opt for the Fellowes 62MC 10-Sheet Micro-Cut Paper Shredder.. $188 on amzn. And this guy does an awesome breakdown on how well it works (for single wall cardboard) : ruclips.net/video/9LPvH1LZblg/видео.html 1.5 in. 14 Amp Electric Wood Chipper/Shredder for $130 from Home Depot will do LITERALLY the same thing. Dude. This is an insult to my intelligence.
The chipper seems to work well but this company will rob you blind on massively overpriced accessories like the power cord, catch bag, grease gun, and $75 dollars for $4 worth of PVC fitting and pipe for a "Brush Buddy". I recommend their electric chipper and nothing else. Save more than 1/2 the cost and buy any accessories you want somewhere else.

Really impressive. Love to have one here at the shop, so it looks like I'll need to start saving my pennies.

$2K for that!?!?!?
Yes
Can it be used to chip small branches and brush outside?
Great video thank you so much
How do you stop cardboard from being blasted through out your workshop? Does it not create a cardboard tornado?
There is a bag to catch the output of these chippers. I'd do outside though, they do not catch dust.

1400$ What is it made of gold. You guys are out of your minds.
Yeah but it cost more than a 10hp gas shredder no thanks…
Is this vid a joke? Cardboard? I got branches and brush.
We use a ton of cardboard in our garden and hot composter. Otherwise, cardboard is just waste, but really it's amazing for your yard.
Dont worry, its only $1400 and handles 2.5" branches. What a joke
