BTW, the boss' name is "Nowo".

This is not a rip-off nor a spin-off of Just Shapes and Beats.
Project Arrhythmia by Vitamin Games have been in development way before JSaB and the developer wasn't aware of the existence of JSaB during the first 2 years of development.
PA was originally inspired by "Battle Cube" by Nifflas (which the creator of PA have talked to and made sure it was ok to use the idea)
So please understand the two games (JSaB and PA) aren't related to each other at all.
(Man, this one was better than the one in the vid. I guess I should change it.)
Also, the boss level is supposed to be a mashup of all my previous Shirobon levels and Nowo is a square because the said levels are mostly comprised of squares (ex. Regain Control, Immune, and Cyber Party). So, yeah. I accidentally made Close to Me 2.
I still love Sadboi and its boss level from JSaB, though.

I can understand how they’re not the same game. It’s like saying Tf2 & Overwatch are the same or Bloons Tower Defense & Kingdom Rush are the same. Sure they have similarities but are still different enough for one to not be a copy of the other.

Good thing I read the disclaimer first, I was like "JSAB???" And even though I see many similarities, I believe it is it's own thing, and am really amazed at it! Looks like a cool game too!
Yeah started earlier but just being one person in college wasn't able to put out updates as fast as the JSAB team.

Its alright, but try and tune up on the warnings, dont make the movements on the thing to sporadic, and all that. This is one is one of the better ones I have seen, so congrats I guess.

@@Aratonati I'd like to also add that a animation for when your dodging/dashing time window is up would be nice. It can be difficult to judge how long your invulnerable unless there is some kind of sign.
Also on a personal opinion it looks nice and decently made but difficulty wise it seems pretty low. There is very little going on in the actual fight and it's more flashy than in its surroundings. Now it is a first boss and I get that. But just keep in mind for any future fights that not only do you want to boss to look tough. But you also want it to be tough. Try getting a few ppl who will be honest with you to test it out. Feed back never hurts so long as you can make the most of it.
Oh and one last thing. Were you invincible during this? During 1:45 - 1:48 you touched the blue line yet took no damage as far as I can tell.
@@Cerby9 No. I took damage. You can see that the tail is now two squares instead of three at that time.

What the hell was that
Got the arrows, pulsing circles, walls, and the moving square from Running My Head, the pulsing grid from Regain Control, the expanding squares and moving walls from Immune, the spinning lasers from Perfect Machine, the stage from Cyber Party, the city and spotlights from City Patrol (Stage B), and the completely new flying square.
Oh yeah, the square ramming into the walls of the level is also new, and of course the intro.

Very creative level man
This is the level that got me into level creating for project arrhythmia when it was first released, it is a good level, not too complex but not too simple, the bloom on this level is also a good effect to have in some parts of the level

So then it’s Try Close To The Zone uwu (if it was a song mashup :p.)
Similarities:
Close To Me: The spinning part is going the same direction (the part where Nowo's face looks like a checkerboard with only white) and the boss is literally a square with a face.
Try This: The spotlights at the 3rd phase (where Nowo has the four arrows as his face.)
Into The Zone: 3d background at that part. (The part where his face looks like a sun.)
Spectra: Squares with explosions in them.
(The same part as the spinning part)
The end credits: Nowo is on a music mixer (That's what I call the DJ's music player lol) also, it has the same color scheme at this part. (Pink-red and black.) (This is the part where his face is two squares.)
(If the creator sees this or anyone who made the game sees this, don't be offended. I am aware it has a very similar level designer. I'm just saying it's alot similar to some levels from JSAB.)
Personally, I think PA is better than JSAB.
Nowo is really cute. I like his(or her?) variety of attacks. This is the work of a genius.

It's made within my game's level editor. So not really JSAB. But yes Drawer put a considerable amount of effort into this as he does with all his levels.
And done in a quick amount of time (in the case of this level, it took 2 days). 😁
