Automated chicken door

Here is our automated chicken for that we put together for about $50 or less.
Parts List:
Motor: www.amazon.com/...
Relays: 12 volt SPDT www.amazon.com/...
Wiring: stuff I had around the house.
Door: plastic cutting board from Walmart - 12 x 18 inch
track: home made from a 2x4 made with a table saw
Timer: www.ebay.com/it...
Make sure to get a SPDT (single pole double throw) timer.
battery: 12 volt (I had one around the house like this one)

This was a very fun project to work on...it pushed me to the limits! I stayed awake at night a few nights trying to figure this stuff out!

And now a small solar panel on top of the chicken house to automatically charge the battery. Otherwise you'd have to recharge it manually, I guess?
