When you do the tour videos no need to rush just break it up into more videos if some people don't like the length for me I just like to see them all and if you break it up to more videos that's great also means you have more videos to put out

I like watching your channel. We raise fish for different reasons. I raise them for fish bait (not cichlids). and not as many as you. You have a big operation compared to mine! I have two totes and one 100 gal cattle watering tank. Even though we use them for bait, they become pets after awhile due to looking after them each day. Not that we do much to them. What do you feed them? I was thinking of hanging a bug light over one of my totes to see how that works for feed. My tanks are crystal clear.

I used to work at a farm that bred them.
I actually stripped fry from them a few times.
Here's what I know about them.
They are a very passive species, just like a few other similar Copadichromis like the Virginalis Gold.
They really should only be kept in a species only tank imo. Males will rarely show good color in all male tanks, and they usually get too stressed in all male tanks and do not last long.
From my experience they have very small clutch sizes, but with big fry compared to most Malawi mouth brooders. The group I dealt with never bred that well though. Also the fry had a very poor survival rate.
Males can get pretty big, at least 8".
For a species only group, I wouldn't keep them in anything smaller than a 125g, not only because of their size, but you'd have a better chance getting them to breed. The farm had them in a 500g vat.
They are a very rare fish in the hobby, most people don't know about them, and it will most likely stay that way.
Species that don't do well in all male tanks really don't ever get popular and in demand in the hobby. Any Breeders who do have them are very limited on who actually wants to buy them, which is why we chose not to breed and sell them.
