No!!! Let him go. Fans are making waaaayyyy too much of Hartenstein. He was good, but Not as impactful as Mitch Rob, and in general. If he were, we wouldn’t have had an issue with the Pacers. Dude got crushed by both Philly and Indy. Scored zero in a close out game. Let OKC pay that 30 mill.

Hartenstein is worth 29 million a year to OKC. He exactly fills what they need similar to the Knicks overpaying for Bridges and Anunoby because they exactly fill Knicks needs.
Hartenstein was worth a lot to the Knicks, but they just couldn't afford him. He wasn't a backup center with the Knicks if he was coming back. He is light years better than Robinson. He fit in with the offense like a glove, offensive rebounded and was a surprisingly good rim defender. In fact, he showed the Knicks what they were missing with Robinson on the court.
One thing in the Knicks favor is now that they've got both Bridges and Anunoby, they can play Randle at the 5. Randle would make the team much better offensively than we saw at the end of the year with Hartenstein. Where Randle at the 5 would be a liability is on D particularly against teams with size. Plan B would be Robinson there. I like Achiuwa and the Knicks should definitely try to keep them but they need a real backup big to come in and play big minutes when Robinson inevitably gets hurt. Maybe the rookie second rounder will help. I don't believe Sims is an answer, he's too raw offensively

IH didn't care about winning or playing for a chance to bring a championship to NYC. He would've been a starter for the Knicks. Instead he's a back up to a kid in Oklahoma's Future. SMH 🙄

Not for $29 million. By allowing him to play, the Knicks helped increased his value. He’s not worth this money and won’t get as much playing time. Smart move by Hartenstein, financially but Knicks couldn’t do much here. So let’s move on.

They didn't allow Hartenstein to play. He was coming off the bench with Sims starting for most of his two years. He only played because Thibs had no other option when both Robinson and Sims got injured at the same time. Even then, Thibs gave him the lowest usage of his career and tanked every one of his stats. He broke records with the Cavs and Clippers, Hartenstein was worth a max contract before coming to the Knicks, and the Knicks only decreased his value to $29 million. This is what two years of disrespect get you.

Knicks should never forget this heist OKC committed against Knicks and fans! IHart was signed and lost without any compensation nor did OKC send a 1st round pick to NY. NOTHING! Knicks should never forget this and if any important player that becomes available from OKC Knicks should do the same and put OKC in a position they put the Knicks in

If I'm Bondy I'm embarrassed SNY sent me to do this segment. Anybody who thought the Knicks had a chance at resigning I Hart had their heads in those Orange and Blue sky's. It was over before it started. Once I Hart took over at center when Robinson got hurt and then add the playoff run he had clearly the max 16 million contract the Knicks could offer was not going to be enough.OKC with the young talented with plenty of money were clearly going to hit I Hart's number. He didn't have to wrestle with his decision. Rose has known for months I Hart was gone. He did the best thing possible trade for Bridges and resign OG. He'll figure out the backup center. Tibs does a great job of elevating young talented centers all around game. He'll do it again. I'm more concerned with Robinson's health then anything else.
