    We just bought one used and I am very happy with it. We bought it with 118000 miles. Someone kept this vehicle in great shape! We have another vehicle that has the push button start. I love it. That is not a big enough deal to care. The Acadia has so many nice features it is all good.

    As an 07 owner, I'm happy to see that this vehicle still looks pretty much the same as it did when I bought mine. I agree with another comment here ... why no push button start? Guessing it was a trade off ... remote start or push button ... I'll take the remote start every time! Has some flaws but it is still one of the best looking/feeling/driving SUV's out there, period.

    Love the SUV, but i feel that the infotainment display looks a bit dated, and why isn't there a push button start on an almost 50k GMC Acadia. But other than that love the vehicle.

  • @ivanlowjones
    @ivanlowjones 9 лет назад +19

    The GM triplets (Acadia,Traverse, Enclave) still have no push button start in 2016? I don't think you can find another SUV in this class without a push button ignition. That's a standard feature on most cars regardless of the trim level.

      +J High I have driven vehicles with the push button start. I actually find them more annoying than the key because you have to press and hold the brake peddle in while pressing the start button. The only time the push button is nice is if you have already remote started the vehicle. For whatever reason I find it nicer to turn a key than to have to press a button AND push in the brake peddle...

    I really hope GM has given some attention to that horribly proportioned/dimensioned rear-end for the 2017 redesign.
    It is especially bad when viewed from the C-pillar backwards at 45 degrees. Ford's Explorer doesn't seem odd from any angle.
    I'd get me one if that happens. As it is, that's why I lost the debate to the wife and we ended up buying the Ford for her. I'd still get an Acadia for myself since I'm due for a vehicle change this year muself. That's if the rear-end wouldn't be so odd-looking with the upcoming generation.

    I have a 2013 GMC Terrain Denali which has the same motor. Are you sure it's not rated for 301hp? That is what the Terrain V6 VVT Direct Injection 3.6 is rated at... (AWESOME motor and both the Terrain and Acadia are great vehicles by the way)

    • @MikesCarInfo
      @MikesCarInfo  9 лет назад +1

      +Scott Gerhart "Acadia Denali’s performance is powered by the 6-speed transmission, 3.6L V-6 engine. Delivering 288 HP @ 6300 RPM and 270 lb.-ft. of torque @3400 RPM" www.gmc.com/acadia-denali-mid-size-luxury-suv.html

    • @srgerhart
      @srgerhart 9 лет назад +1

      Gotcha. Very odd they would reduce the tune of the motor for the larger vehicle. Must have made it smoother or more reliable.

    • @MikesCarInfo
      @MikesCarInfo  9 лет назад +1

      +Scott Gerhart I don't think they reduce the tune of the engine. HP correlates to the RPM of the engine. The Terrain has different gear ratios than the Acadia to accommodate for the weight and capability differences which might explain the HP differences.

    1.its been the same thing since 2007
    as per buying one 2007 AWD 50k miles $10k and selling it 3 days later :
    2.the engine has to reach 60 in 9 seconds but it took 11 seconds. so the engine lost alot of power in just 50k miles. people say the problem is that 2007-2010 models have timing chain problems and this engine got alot of updated since 2007, you talked about the engine like its a toyota engine which are the most reliable
    3.different electric problems in different cars, mine had no power coming to the side mirrors, cost for repair: $400
    4.almost EVERY acadia from 2007 and 2008 has a new/repaired transmission, GM is not good in transmissions specially in AWD models. even my car had the transmission repaired.
    *guyz almost all GM cars will give you a problem small or big one day, if you want no problems go buy Japanese cars only. my father has a 2008 toyota camry V6 and goes the same 0-60 it did when new, its now 100k miles old.

    • @kyleBlittle
      @kyleBlittle 7 лет назад +1

      sweet dreams that used to be true but not now. Japanese cars are having a lot of engine issue specifically Toyota and let's not forget the millions of air bag problems. nothing like surviving a crash but being decapitated by shrapnel. the emission laws are forcing companies to design engines that have a lot of issues.

    I bought a new 2012 GMC Acadia Denali. It is absolutely the worst GM product that I have owned since I purchased my first GM vehicle in 1976. Within weeks of driving the car off of the new car lot it left me stranded on the highway. The car spent 6 weeks in service. GM flew in a specialist and the problem was discovered in the transmission. Since then and prior to the 3 year warrantee expiring the car was taken in for service additional times to fix:
    driver seat came loose
    several recalls
    front AC evaporator unit
    power steering unit
    rear AC evaporator unit
    Because the warrantee has expired I contacted GM for relief. The problem was escalated to executive customer service and they first offered a $2000 loyalty coupon on a new car. This was eventually increased to a $2500 loyalty certificate. After they told me that the problems that I experienced were not costly since the warrantee covered the costs I turned the offer down. They offered no relief for additional problems that were likely to happen after my warrantee expired. I am done with GM and looking to find a replacement vehicle manufactured by another manufacturer.

    Most precise camera settings of the fleet surpassing even the Corvette. Notification of lane departure keeps attention where it is important. Driving passengers are a breeze in that sunroof and 4 types of entertainment. Over 400 miles on a tank. Maintain this per industry standards you will get 200 300 thousand miles if you change oil every 3,000 miles. The looks last good until 2030 suggest wax 4 times year and drive less than 8,000 miles on average. Science has found the 2016 Denali Acadia to be safe and effective for transporting medical persons and equipment when there is no need for medical persons traveling at warp speed. And now we have AI and medical equipment that begins to transform into circuits that morfs into antennas with blue tooth codes on self driving. As a consequence the nation elected this section of the world Acadia to Trump over all other modes. Due to the additives injected these heart beat of America are siezzzing up for a sudden surprise stop. This is not a problem because of all the air bags.

    GMC=following the leaders as always. They have the same boring style every year. Sluggish engines, boring, basic interiors, and same 5 or 6 spoke wheels. Same grill. I'd rather have a Ford Explorer Platinum than this stupid thing. Doesnt even compare. They rip people off with "Denali". Get real, Government Motors...

    hope they got rid of that stupid ass engine. an engine that has to lose 3qts in an oil change before the factory does anything about it. more sad is most of the oil will be in the air intake duct. my favorite is the shitty access to the headlights, the rear windshield wiper that is rarely at a auto parts store, and the fact you have to remove the intake to change plugs.

    I will be purchasing this GMC ACADIA DENALI next week. All vehicles are not made for everyone, but this is my ride. Thank you.
