I've rewatched her Film Independent Spirit Awards monologue as host more times than I care to remember lol, I would absolutely love to see her host the Oscars. I'm very surprised that no one at the Academy seemed to be considering her as the host especially back in 2022, she once tried to pitch herself as host to the Academy but they already got Jimmy Kimmel to host at the time. And since Kimmel is not interested in returning and John Mulaney turned down the offer, the Academy should try approach Aubrey to see if she's really interested. She'd be a breath of fresh air for the Oscars tbh
This is the earliest I've ever seen a Late Night upload. Neat. Megalopolis looks like it'll be an unforgettable trainwreck. Love Aubrey though, she's from my town.
@@edwardfletcher7790everyone wants to be in it because of the director and the films mythical history, I don’t think they cared if it was actually good 😂

Not a fan of broken up interview segments, but at least you posted them in order. Can your staff please give some lessons to Colbert’s production staff on how to do this?
I love Aubrey Plaza. One thing I realize is that I feel like she looks like an actress from the silent film error with just a different haircut and we can see her in color
1:10 wow seth, that was a SPOT ON Chloe impression. I actually thought it was her!!! Mark Porch better watch out because he isnt the only esteemed impressionist on the block!
It's unnerving to see Aubrey speaking normal like she's not clinically insane. Maybe she's tired and doesn't have the energy for that today. Brilliant actor too.
A couple months ago it was in the news Coppola was kissing extras on the set (and there's video?) but nobody could really complain since he was the boss and financing the whole thing himself.
Aubrey Plaza is the poster girl of what an actual real-life bi girl from the big city looks like and talks like and dresses like and winks like and gestures like. Bi-ness to the maxx.
I don't want this to come across like I'm taking a bullet for Coppola like I know him. I don't. If he's a creep to anyone, I hope they can speak out about it. The source of that Variety article was someone who had a hidden camera on a closed set with undressed actors around, making accusations on behalf of those actors. It's surreal to me that Variety glossed over this like it isn't a big gross deal in itself. But according to the actual extras actors who weren't consulted for that article but spoke out after it was published -- no, he wasn't doing that.
Megalopolis is getting such bad reviews, not just by the critics panning it, but audience viewers as well. This movie took years to make and was intended to be Coppola's magnum opus, but it's a disjointed, muddled mess. After 4 decades trying to get this made, you'd think Coppola would've taken this as a sign to move on to another project. What a sour note to land on after all the excellent work he put out.
@@madeofmarble8514 No, I haven't. I merely repeated the several reviews I've read (as I pointed out in my comment). These reviews just made me sad after waiting so long to watch the movie. And sad for Coppola because I was hoping for the best ending of his career.

yeah, I'd sincerely give it your own viewing before agreeing with the critics. I just saw it last night after waiting over a year and i cant wait to see it again. After reading reviews, I was disappointed that it wasn't going to be good, but being the film nerd I am, I went to see it regardless. I LOVED IT. I kept me excited, interested and had me ask some big questions to myself after. It is definitely different and a risk. But thank God, because movies were getting boring as hell. I am grateful for this movie. My partner and I drove 2 hours to see it (mountain town, local theaters didn't have it) and we discussed it the whole way home. Give yourself a weird little treat and go see this instead of watching some repeated idea that's come out 5 times in the last 20 years.

Right there with you.
She has a quirky mind. She's brilliant 😋
That "Yorgos Lanthamos" joke is perfect...
Yes. If it includes Aubrey, I say yes
She was really excellent at that, but now, I feel like maybe she's IN too many movies to be the host. She's kind of rocking her deep actress now?

It's the eyes and the expressive face. Also the air of mystery in a way. She's never in social media or doing the "look at me" celebrity things.

It would be legendary chaos…. It needs to happen
Aubrey has become quite comfortable with Seth. Still charming, tho her previous discomfort was always endearing, too...
It’s pretty crazy how she manages to run an annual sanctuary called Alveus at the same time.

Aubrey Plaza was great in this! Jon Voight was hilarious too.
