@Jayco I would LOVE to see these steps as standard equipment on the 2023 Pinnacle and North Point lineup. They offer a premium experience that owners like me are expecting.
We have a 2020 Eagle HT 272 RBS trailer with the gas shock assisted drawbridge style on the main door (rear). These steps would go nicely to replace them as you have done. The extra step is a real game changer for us as my wife has mobility issues. Step spacing is a real issue. Additionally, we have the second door on the bedroom in front with the standard three step folding exterior well style as there would be no room internally for a drawbridge style. I would like to see a second style available as you proposed with external well storage for that. Loving your videos! Obviously, you are borderline OCD in your installations like me. Excellent attention to detail! @ Jayco
@@AdventureRocks After perusing the TorkLift site, I notice they offer a handrail system as well. Have you investigated it ? How does the MoreRyde safety rail work with the TorkLift steps? Any differences noticed vs your old step system?
@@MilSpecTech yes, I haven't used the torklift handrail myself, but it is probably more sturdy with the 3x points... triangle basically, but perhaps a bit more setup? Here's a video on how the Glowsteps with morryde rail: ruclips.net/video/X7mh6ciW2ZI/видео.html
I have a 2018 Jayco with the standard step well and I think they work perfectly fine. I couldn’t understand why they went with those huge drawbridge steps that you have to store inside your RV. It’s a camper, you’re not building a house. If they bounce a little when you step on them so be it, your camping. Now these steps that scissor fold would probably work great with a step well. Keep the dirt out and give you a little more stability. Great video.
To propose an answer to your question, think of older campers with mobility issues. The drawbridge style are a godsend for them (us). That said, these are really a nice alternative with extra steps to shorten the riser height between steps. Definitely looking further into these!
They look great and I do have issues at rest and truck stops with my steps and having room to drop them down the only problem I see if you can't deploy these new steps all the way the landing is narrower and kind of under the next step up as you walk up or down so the landing is not as wide.
Correct, almost more like a ladder with big treads when they are deployed at a narrow rate, so you definitely want to hang on to railing or door frame. I like to use it that way while it is in storage or just temporary situations in/out, etc.

Thanks for this follow up video! Very informative! As for the step well concept, I only see one negative with that, and that is long term use and exposure to the elements. There are a LOT of joints there, and over time will these not work as well when dirt and debris get in there? That won't happen as much when they are inside. That's really the only potential negative I could see...
Thank you! I have been very impressed with the construction. Torklift used all aluminum and stainless steel parts, and there are bushings with the bolts so it's my understanding metal on metal is non-existent or minimal the way it is designed. So should hold up very nicely even in elements long-term. They also provide a lifetime warranty, which I think speaks to the level of quality incorporated. They really are a premium step system all the way around. Very impressed with them.
@@AdventureRocks if you mentioned that lifetime warranty in the video, I missed that part. That definitely means that they are fairly confident they will hold up in all conditions. Now, to decide if I need to let go of $900...
@@darrinhiebert So many selling points! I forgot to mention the warranty. Hands down it is my favorite upgrade in all of 2022. I could see if someone can't relate to the problems it solves they may not be impressed with it, but for me it hits home especially with the obstacle avoidance and flexibility with 4 or 5 steps.
@@AdventureRocks I'm in the same boat, even a bigger boat. When we put our Pinnacle in our shed, we CANNOT open the drawbridge steps, as they hit the wall. I can get in there, but it's a royal pain...

We have a step well and tork lift steps. We love them and they have adjustable top step as well as the bottom.

Thank you. I'm still really enjoying the steps. They are a lot more flexible especially at state parks with different obstacles and such.

I agree. Hopefully will see them on more RVs in future. I really think they are superior in many ways.

I bet these would eliminate “Truck camper bounce” when someone enters the truck camper.
Probably, I am really impressed with them. I just did an updated review on a different RV here:
