This one's pretty good. It's not quite up to London 2012's standards, but it's way better than the original and Rio 2016. The only thing I'm annoyed with is that there are only two remixes of either Mario or Sonic music. They didn't even add the old remixes from previous games.

I seriously hope they take the franchise in a more meaningful way. Imagine if mariokart just had the characters slapped on a racing game withought themed vehicles, pickups, and diverse tracks. Mario and sonic Olympic Games is really just games with the characters taped on, but think of how cool it would be if there were tons of different tracks, all themed for different Mario and sonic moments, and it wasn’t just Olympic Games, but lots of cool extra stuff too like a snowboarding track stransitioning into a snowed over green hill zone area, hurdles with green pipes that can take you ahead in the track, or even adopt some of the pickups from mariokart, and integrate them into a variety of games. While sonic and Mario would still be the stars of the show, they could bring on some more characters from Nintendo with unique abilities and tracks.

The DS version of the original winter games was one of my favorite childhood games. I have so much nostalgia for it when I play it.
