This makes me disappointed in Maxwell. Niles does so much for him: house chores, catering, sometimes taking care of the kids and he can’t give the man a raise. Shame on him.

I think those 4 episodes solidified their bond and they definitely began to fall for each other!
well there were also instances in later seasons where Fran was 100% horny/desperate/ready to sleep with a guy but stuff like "steaming hot guy turns out to be your 87th cousin" happened 😂

If Maxwell had ever found out the reason why Niles had quit, there's no doubt that he would've threatened to fire Fran for it and would've told her that there is no way he ever payed her that absured amount of money, whatever the amount was that she had put on the credit card application.

Niles wasn't a baby when Max's nanny was still his nanny because she was having an affair with him; she said he was still young, though. I'd say Niles is about 10 to 20 years older than Max (who is just turning 40 when the show starts, making NIles being 50-60, 50 being the age of the actor in the pilote episode). If Max's not lying about how he hired Niles, maybe Niles resigned during the time Max moved to America and when he found out about Niles, he hired him because he already knew him and this was a more stable job that he accepted for that same reason.
I really don't want Niles to quit I love Niles since he has a great relationship with Fran and he always shipped Maxwell and Fran together. I love Niles and Fran, Niles is so funny hahaha 😂😂
