Niles wasn't a baby when Max's nanny was still his nanny because she was having an affair with him; she said he was still young, though. I'd say Niles is about 10 to 20 years older than Max (who is just turning 40 when the show starts, making NIles being 50-60, 50 being the age of the actor in the pilote episode). If Max's not lying about how he hired Niles, maybe Niles resigned during the time Max moved to America and when he found out about Niles, he hired him because he already knew him and this was a more stable job that he accepted for that same reason.

I think those 4 episodes solidified their bond and they definitely began to fall for each other!

This crap should’ve been kept locked away after it’s 90s showings. Nobody deserves to have to listen to that trashy loud female screeching through their headphones/speakers.
