I just bought the Baba Yaga 8.0 on an impulse buy the other day... was absolutely in love w/ the "Dr. Seuss' dark side" style of the graphic, and the folklore that matches the artwork so damn well.... it's hard to explain. I don't even know what the 'lore is honestly (yet to look it up...) and I almost don't care to know... I almost prefer letting my mind wander into trying to figure out for myself what a chicken w/ a house for a head running through the Polish forests means, but it's such a unique representation of "the boogeyman" concept And well, she destroys it on the board and has a vibe of positivity that I envy -- at the same time! haha Keep killing it -- this has the potential to be a great decade for female skaters I think.... and Brodka is only going to get soooo much better... TL, DR: Awesome art, awesome part
Baba Yaga is a polish folklore story. She lived in a house standing on a hens leg. She burned children in the oven luring them to ther hut by laying sweets on the forest paths.
