This was very fun reaction to watch... also you were so enchanted by Tarja's vocals😄 I haven't heard this song in a while so it was nice to hear it again and Tarja's operatic vocals from her yearly days. And all of them are soooo young🥹
Pete, it's been wonderful following your journey back to old Nightwish and especially Tarja's voice. Your reactions were spot on. I just wish more took the time to embark upon that journey. Those who only know these old songs through the Decades Tour are missing out...looking forward to the next video!
Beautiful, magical song! What a superb job lighting engineer did, adding even more magic to intro. Blue light falling on Tarja and fog give you a lot of imagination. Beautiful siren, from same song, seems to be singing, perched on a rock rising over sea, luring hapless travelers with her angelic voice. In general, this whole concert is very homely, with an incredible, warm and cozy atmosphere. There are no huge screens, it takes place in a cozy little hall with only beautiful music, beautiful singing and amazing devoted fans, who support their favorite band so warmly. I would give a lot to be at this show.
I love this song, the melody is so soothing and lovely and her voice is so angelic 🤲🏽❣ This song is also one of my favourites when performed live because in later versions it always has three things: - A crowd sing along moment - Tarja and Emppu having a cute interaction - Tarja freestyling the ending in the most beautiful way
Deep Ocean and Tuomas in it with the Siren voice. For me this concert is the best one...even though they have done majestic ones later but this is so real and pure gold.

A lot of these older songs are largely operatic pieces. This is one of the reasons Floor only did it for that one tour. Her talents are more suited to particular ones like Dead Boy’s Poem. You will see some she’s never sung in this concert. Their discography is just too large and in a lot of ways, they’ve evolved into something different. All that said, I love these older concerts. There’s a lot of gems in here
These songs of the Tarja era were created by Tuomas for Tarja's rich dark vocals, for me they simply do not sound good with Floor's vocals as they do not suite her style
Emotional context matters. If it was like bye bye beautiful an attck in Tarja, don't expect Floor who.is Tarja's friend to do that one. Or if its clearly about Tuomas pining for a even then married woman, creepy A.F and a no. But then there is can or should an old song be adapted for Floor and the boys 15 to 20 years later or are they past need or desire to play those songs. And of course even if Floor could sing it like Tarja did it would be instant comparison and bitter debates about who is better and about becoming merely a cover band of old hits. Where is the current stuff? Fair comment. For the boys.who played.the heck out of those songs 20 years ago its all.on video and tape. Why cover for the sake of covering it. If nothing can be changed or improved only equalled, why bother?? Sure sprinkle in a few beloved classics you are still proud of but somgs written by & for young adults who have kids in or near their teens??? Does not fit. Life moves forward. We must move.with.it.
