thats the dark, deep, resonant mezzo splendor, i could never fill up with..thanks so much for the treasure of Tarja..love Floor but Tarja to me is sacred...my absolute drug of choice
still astounds me, how she can do that with her voice..its as though an entirely different and magical language, tonal and resonant in quality and deep and angelic in its fluidity...love you Tarja!!!
I definitely agree. Without Tarja, they wouldn't have actually been noticed as they became famous purely on the basis that it was a female, operatic vocal on top of metal which back then was almost unheard of except in smaller metal communities (in the Netherlands specifically). Floor is wonderful and Tarja is wonderful. I also enjoyed Anette for the 2 albums she contributed to as well. All-in-all, Nightwish are just great no matter who is singing tbh. Tuomas is the real mastermind behind everything they've ever done and that has never changed since the beginning, the aim is still the same. :)
Also, please react to Tarja's cover of Muse's 'Supremacy' live! She's REALLY into that performance and she's definitely more in her element nowadays than she maybe ever was with Nightwish (the later years, anyway...)
they would not have been noticed at all without Tarja's vocal prowess because in the early stages, prior to hearing Tarja's demo, Tuomas had in mind a folk/mood music model...
@@taemfreak .. well, she definitely has a far more proficient on the fly, mixed delivery, now due to years of fine tuning, but imho, after 6 months or so of being in NW, she tuned her strict classical tenor to first a beautifully flowing mezzo timbre, then to a more mixed chest and head blend executed so divinely...

Tarja's label has officially uploaded the full concert of Luna Park (ruclips.net/video/2Hl2ibaUvcQ/видео.html)! It has better audio. Stargazers is in minute 40:56 🤘🏻
Oh man, I just remembered an old nightwish song that has the same epicness than "ghost love score". The music is called "Beauty of the Beast" (yes, is OF the beast). It is from Century Child album. There isn't a good live performance recorded on youtube so you'd better to react to the album version. Thank you very much!
To me, this was Tarja's best era. She sounded amazing when live (held her notes etc) and the whole band was a solid unit. Tuomas still had complex lyrics, too.
Hers is the only voice for most of this early stuff, it works perfectly with the whole fantasy/Disney vibe they had. She looks like a Disney character here too.
This is one of the only songs I prefer with Tarja because it relies so heavily on those operatic vocalizations. I generally like her performances the best in this show because her voice still had that fullness and warmth, later it got this steely quality and she kinda started overusing her vibrato. Also, their baby faces make me smile. :D
I agree! I'm not a big Tarja fan so I was pleasantly surprised with this. Her voice suits really well here and she doesn't use too much vibrato or "witchy" sound like she does on most of the live videos I've seen.
@@susannaahola7641 Tarja did amazing on the original Ghost Love Score as it is the original song with her, whatever was planned for that show was set up by Tuomas who is the mastermind behind it and I am sure this is just how he organized it, has nothing to do with her leaving the stage, Annette did, Tarja gave 100% and more considering she had the flu and nailed the concert. And the new Ghost love Score is tailored for Floor, again was set up that way and I am sure no plan is finalized without Tuomas approval, so dissing her is dissing Nightiwish and Tuomas, has nothing to do with the singers. Should appreciate their efforts and what they brought to Nightwish. Majority of the songs everyone hears is Tarja era not Floors, there wouldn't be Floor if it wasn't for Tarja as the band was going into different direction, so thanks to her that led us to Floor. I'm glad you reminded people Tarja started it all of (singing wise) and she does have a fantastic voice. I love her and Floor, and there is a certain etherial quality to Tarja's vocals that Floor never manages to quite replicate although I have to admit that Floor is a far more versatile singer and can do things that Tarja could not. This whole concert is great. This is before all the drama happened. She was much more comfortable back then. As the relations with the band worsened, her stage presence became more tense.
