Last time in the chair, I caught a 360 lb big eye. After 55 minutes, I never wanted to be in the chair again. Pulled my back out and was out of work for 13 days.

I went Marlin fishing offshore of Magdalena Bay, Baja, MX once, west coast style: no chair. It was epic and worth the $$ but very different than bank fishing Bass! Next time try to get some audio of the coordination of the hands and the Capt maneuvering the boat as well as the pros instructions to you. Those dudes are so tight at their jobs with TONs of knowledge on how to reel in a 100+ lbr
As a true fan i can only say i would rather see you beach fishing with your family or Beach Bum 😅

Dream trip ! I have 2 bucket list fish, blue marlin and tarpon. Hope to at least make the tarpon happen, probably never get the marlin.

I can't state strenuously enough how dangerous it is to wrap fishing line around your hands on monster fish. If you can't let go they can make you shark bait. Never wrap line around your hands.
They wrap it in a way that if you straighten out your fingers and thumb the line runs of your hand and you let go
