had to dig through 7 months of youtube history to find this but I am glad to have found it again.
Well I for one, discovered this little bit of paradise a bit late but better late than never. A goddess sings god's music while the angels play it and it all happens right here on my I pad. Thank you to all the gods and goddesses, the Buddhas and bodhisattvas, thank you Barbara and Hans, thank you everyone and everything that made it possible for me to cry tonite
Extraordinaria!!!!
Que perfeccion
wow! I love the microtonal harmonies that drip down the orchestral texture…
5 years too late but hey, i looked into the score and they are just good ol chromatic notes
J F the microtones are in the string harmonics!
@@DannyCleaveMusic yes, those are string harmonics playing very high partials making them slightly flat. but the ones dripping from high registers are just chromatic.
My wife and I saw this in Cleveland with Abrahamsen present for the US debut, and with Hannigan singing. A wonderful piece coupled with her great voice made for splendid night out with our orchestra.
Bravo Barbara! I'm your Fan! Kind Regards from Brazil/A.S. :)
Thanks for letting us hear it. Great !

I Like you very much. I am your fan. From Portugal.
I'm monitoring her singing with a Korg TM-50 tuning device, and amazingly, she sings consistently on (or very close to) pitch.
when someone asks: What instrument do you play?
me: 0:55
Where's the drop? :D
what are the lyrics?
text by Paul Griffiths, he compiled the text of words used by Ophelia in Shakespeare's "Hamlet" (found for you in the net)
+wong jerry The texts are extracted from Ophelia's lines in Hamlet.
I think she said a e i o u in different tones
pas mon truc
Robert pc libre bb
on ne peut pas tout aimer avec le romantique cela fait déjà pas mal ! lol
Without the text this is completely meaningless.
