So in other words, thanks to AI, they have been able to layoff people.. or more specifically, they have not had to hire people since 2014 or 2015 as the company has grown because AI is expanded... And higher interest has helped them.. Gee thats a no brainer. haha

I know. Banks used to provide a service. Nowdays, banks use their power to charge people and companies every time you swipe a card, they get a big percentage. Like 3% or more. That's like a tax! I mean, the local city only gets 6% but the city provides streets and services.. What does a bank provide? especailly since they are greatly increasing AI ?? haha You are right.. It IS crazy. Also, I wonder how many HFT day traders BOA has? You know those AI HFT traders are skimming the Mutual funds, IRA, Index funds.. Those funds are the "low hanging fruit". They call it "death by a thousand cuts".

Make sense though, the inlfation rises more profits to conglomerate companies, since they have pricing power, and the banks provide financing support.

There's also growth in their other businesses. Investment banking, business banking, and their Global markets segments are also driving BofA's growth
