I recently watched "Prisoners" and I really like it. It's truly interesting from a psychological view point. Jackman's and Gyllenhaal's characters are so much believable. So much like real life. Thank you for this interview!
He's tops as the most interesting actors around! I mean his dedication to his craft & how he carries himself is an example. also how he treats fans+being humble despite his success..
This is one of the best Skypes of people discussing a great film or excellent films ever.He is so kind, funny and intelligent.:-)I hope my mom & I get to meet him & David Dastmalchian someday.
Omgosh guys thank you so much for this movie. Amazing. One of the best I've seen in a while. Whoa whoa whoa, Jake's acting is off the charts. Beautiful.
The Jake Gyllie? Does he do anymore Q&A or anymore interviews like this? He is very sharp and witty, not an average type of guy at all. What I loved about his character was I couldn't help but feel the 'shadow' ( Carl Jung ) part of him come out at certain moments on the movie... It was very intriguing and interesting.
I'm so happy right now :) Thank you for sharing this interview!! Aaaah!!! This is one the best interviews I've seen. It's so sincere and it flows smoothly like a natural conversation [no awkward pauses nor forced laughter]. It's just really nice to hear Jake express himself about how he's been affected as an actor. I will always continue to love him for being so open minded and a great quotable person. I grow from seeing his interviews. A couple days back, a family friend talked about how someone they knew tried taking a picture or autograph with Jake but he wasn't that approachable. I shrugged off the notion of my friend trying to make me feel aware something. I might not know Jake in person but throughout time, these interviews tell me more about who he is as a human being than a situation that I never lived. I hope to one day meet him & tell him that he's wonderful not only in his acting career but in the manner in which he eloquently replies genuinely and sincerely. I've admired him for a long time and he always continues to amaze me. Love ya, Jake.
The ending and intire film is so smart. The ending to me simpley his character wakeing up to the fact he was indeed hearing what he assumed he's crazy for hearing for what was infact the big red whistle the girl had lost and the ending scene was him wakeing to the fact it was and the face of shock when he does so...he knows what it is and the only thing it can be that would make sense.
The scariest thing isn't human nature, it's humans who don't see fault in themselves and therefore don't deal with that aspect of themselves and use 'nature' as an excuse to avoid having to take a look in the mirror to better themselves. And the reason we don't want to admit to ourselves that it's our own spiritual laziness that is hurting us the most as a species is because we all collectively decided as a culture that spirituality is a waste of time and religious practice is a waste of time or downright delusional. Any meaning in life is an illusion and having to admit that this philosophy is really counter-intuitive and causing a lot of confusion and pain for people is too big of a leap for most of us. Because let's face it the good people are people who use religious practices to self-reflect and try to become better human beings and if they're not religious or don't adhere to one faith it's the people who call themselves spiritual and use various practices from science or scripture to better themselves and if it's not those it's the atheists who want to prove that they can be good even without a religion, not because someone said so but because they are deep down so. The one thing they have in common is they all decided to be good and worked towards self-improvement.
