Ostomate and blogger Sam Cleasby (aka SoBadAss) shares her experience living with a stoma and shares advice she wishes she'd received after surgery, both in terms of common challenges and general advice for life with a stoma.
Emma Vernon, Stoma Care Nurse, discusses some of the common challenges faced by ostomates and some helpful hints to manage them, from hernias to pancaking and sore skin.

What do u do if u find blood in bad
Hi Lisa, if you find you have blood in your stoma bag we'd always recommend you speak to your stoma nurse or a healthcare professional. Blood could indicate infection, internal bleeding or an external wound or skin irritation. It's important that a professional helps identify the cause and correct solution.
