I got the Delta Platinum and Reserve Business cards, I paid $1,000 in annual fees but I saved $450 from the Delta Stays credit and I’ll use it next year too so effectively only paying $100 in annual fees and I earned 230,000 Delta miles. I’ll cancel next year. Also even though they were not refundable I was able to get refunded I broke my arm and had to send the report from the hospital. That’s not guaranteed to work every time though

Yes, so frustrating when trying to navgate to Stays and end up on Vacations! The $250 credit was nice, but the MQDs on Delta Vacations (flight + hotel) is nice too!

So you don’t even get the Delta earn rate using the Amex? Other than the annual credit I can’t see why you’d use stays unless it’s during one of their MQD promos
Yep! I actually did this. My mom is actually the Delta Platinum card holder but she didn’t want to use it and let me use it. No problems triggering the Delta Stays credit.
Eseentially, since the credit renews every January. Say for example it’s December right now. Book a hotel with delta stays for a few months away in the next year. Wait a few weeks, ok now it’s January. Then you get a new credit, then book again for the same hotel etc. Thereby using both credits for 1 stay etc. So December, use your credit to book a hotel for a few months out. Then January, use your new credit to book another hotel for a few months out. Same can be done for any of the calendar year credits, like Amex Platinum Hotel credit etc.
