    In this video we explain what MOLLE is and provide tips showing how to securely attach pouches and accessories to the MOLLE webbing on your 5.11 backpack or bag.
    MOLLE is a military acronym for an accessory attachment system, and stands for MOdular Lightweight Load-carrying Equipment. If you need to carry backpack accessories that you want quick but secure access to, you need a MOLLE system.

    jeez. Finally. Been wondering for years what the heck those things were and what the heck to do with them. My opinion, I that since these have become so popular, that, almost all gear makers put them on, and lots of people have no idea what they are, especially if they were never military, or do only occasional outdoors activities. Like me! haha because I have been seeing molle loops on back packs for what, at least 15 years now, quite commonly, and never knew what they were for or what they were called. But yes!!! Finally!!! I know now!!!!!!! And now I can start spending allllllllllll of that additional money on allllll the molle accessories I could never ever really need but will spend the money anyway! yay!

    Even for general use, I really like these type of MOLLE pouches, sometimes you need to have a small bag for items need quick access, that you can attach for a larger carry bag, backpack, waist pack, etc.

    The straps sewn into this backpack and others by Milwaukee is called M-O-L-L-E webbing, they are on all military backpacks. MOLLE is an acronym for Modular Lightweight Load-carrying Equipment. It is used to define the current generation of load-bearing equipment and backpacks used by a number of NATO armed forces, especially the British Army and the United States Army.

    I swear about 90% of the companies that make molle attachments dont even know how it works. They leave 0 to a half inch between the strap and first loop of the pouch for the first loop in the pack to fit in so its basically useless.

      agreed. as I said in my original comment, I hadn’t the slightest clue, despite seeing them on packs for years. And I was never military and only an occasional outdoorsman with little experience. And so I really think that since this became a thing, a lot of companies just put them on there, almost like a “fashion” thing to make it look more “tactical” or “outdoors-ee”. Lol well I am glad I finally got informed about what they are!

    is there any attachment with vertical molly instead of horizontal?

    • @JHeck-ik6ys
      @JHeck-ik6ys Год назад

      Absolutely. Some 5.11 bags (like the AMP 72) have an interior vertical MOLLE setup, which is better for strapping rifles in the interior than horizontal MOLLE webbing. Also, I have always thought that carabiners fit much better on vertical MOLLE webbing. 5.11 makes removable MOLLE panels that have vertical webbing on the front and horizontal on the back. Also, although the AMP series from 5.11 seems to be discontinued (not 100% sure of this is true, none are left on their website), there are still a lot for sale out there, and they had a really interesting MOLLE variation called the "hexgrid", check it out sometime.
