My wife and I recently took in a 17 year old boy who had nowhere else to go. We now have legal custody. It has been very rewarding. However, when I ask him his thoughts on God, he said he knows God exists, but he is ticked at God and has been for a long time. I don't want to force God or religion down his throat, but I also am not okay with giving up. Thoughts on how to proceed?

Fr., I am catholic and my husband is a Christian of another denomination but not practicing or religious. I moved away from my faith for many years and am returning now but didn’t realize the implications of not being married at a church, and he is not interested in convalidation. Does this mean all hope is lost for me, no sacrament or reconciliation for life? Will I be able to get the last rites when the day comes or will I be denied that also?
It makes me sick that someone could spoil themselves by paying this kind of money when literally a huge part of the people in the world are starving to death! To me, its a grave sin! !
