Many years ago on a tour we were lucky to briefly visit the cathedral. It is beautiful. Oh how I wish I was able to go back.
I'm not religious at all but I love pipe organ music and the Koln cathedral. I long to return to the beautiful building and maybe hear the organ in action with my own ears.

Nur das überflüssige Kamera Gewackel stört die Andacht doch sehr.
Auch ich war früher Meßdiener, aber im Kölner Dom war ich noch nie. Es muß schon ein gewaltiges Erlebnis sein.
Könnte mir vorstellen, daß man sich da eins fühlt mit der ganzen Christenheit.
Und dann auch noch dieses wunderbare Lied, daß doch jeder Christ, egal, ob evangelisch, oder katholisch,
auswendig mit singen kann. Vielen Dank für die Aufnahme.
Bei dem Lied bekomme ich Gänsehaut. Und man hat das Gefühl man ist eins mit der gesamten Christenheit. Ja das stimmt. Außerdem könnte ich - gerade bei dieser Aufnahme weinen. Sie ist herrlich.

Absolutely stunning Cathedral, and beautiful singing. And what a glorious procession. Oh, to be there. The "Fronleichnam", this is the Feast of Corpus Christi? This is a feast day I have never seen acknowledged in such a way here in USA. Like others have said, I could cry for what we've lost. Please, Germany and all of Europe, hold on to your traditions of faith! Don't let anyone fool you.
