Thanks for the videos!! I get excited everytime I get a notification that a new video has posted from you guys. Keep up the good work in the fields and with the videos. I really, really appreciate the videos. Back in my teens I always had a job in the hay field in the summer loading the square bales on to a trailer lots of back breaking labor. Hope I never touch another bale with hands! Keep the videos coming.

For some people, cutting and baling hay is magic. I can CLEARLY remember watching crews bale around my old house, and running out to play on the bales when they left. Later, I took on an old NH drum mower and spent some of my best summer days in some feild in the country chopping my way through waist high grass, fire ant mounts and gopher piles...

As a hay farmer in Southern Illinois you have a very good demonstration of putting up hay you also made a great point about the color of the hay being bleached out it's still more important to get the hay put up dry so I keep sand feeds safely to animals putting hay preservative on it like you do for horses is the best insurance there is in my experience for the horses. If this preservative is put on right and I think you're doing it right there's no reason for any horse to foam at the mouth experience hey people know that Clover can make horses foam at the mouth that's why we don't sell clover hay to horse people. If you are not aware of geoengineering you need to look this issue it's been causing major problems with hay and all crops and all life in general I'm trying to get the word out about geoengineering I wasn't aware of this until I was looking for something different to put up because it was getting so difficult to put up Alfalfa and grass hay dry that I was looking at other feed choices to sell and for myself to feed most of time I feed all my poor hey to my livestock and that's the main reason I keep cattle on my farm there's no point in giving hey away I'm losing all that fertilizer I put into it and I saw my highlights quality hay for the highest dollar I can get. There's no doubt that you have to be highly innovated and you've done a great deal with raking hay and baling and doing everything in one straight line looks great but my area do the humidity we have to rake it and still let it sit for an hour before we could bail it. You would gave me an idea of maybe mounting my sprayer tank on to the hay rake and spray the acid on in the windrow.

    • @jasonkotara2135

Steffen System, the bales stay on the caddie till it's full then it pushes them off. Works perfect an any type of hay! The drag on the ground only work in certain situations! We now went to a Bale Baron, it's absolutely the best way.

The new holland stack wagon is the first thing I've found to disagree with you on. I'll run circles around you and that accumulator with my stack wagons. In my opinion it's the only way to pick up small bales of hay. And if you want to pick them up with a grapple you get a 15 or 18 bale grapple, depending on the size of your wagon, and you can easily load a trailer. I've actually never seen an accumulator in action before as nobody around me has one. It just doesn't seem efficient at all.

We never treated horse hay! It will cause the horses to foam at the mouth more! Along with upsetting there digestive system. It's great for roll bales and cattle. Keeps the temp in roll bales down . Saves barns from burning. We never lost a barn in 30 years of storing roll bales in the barn , we moved our rolls immediately to the barn .
