ive freelanced as an editor for a year and it was so great having control and freedom. i was making enough to pay my expenses and then some but not enough to cover future rent that i'd be paying once i move out. i recently took a full time editor position to be able to pay rent and have a stable income but really want to go back to freelance. ive decided to look for a part time job to take care of rent and have some sort of stability and keep growing my freelance work until hopefully one day i can go full time freelance again. it's a bit scary transitioning back and ive found it difficult to find part time opportunity's, there's so many full time positions only. any suggestions or comments to this approach?
I completely get where you are coming from and I agree with your approach. Full Time Freelance is daunting and hard, you have to spend so much time getting everything just right to make it work. I think the part time / freelance is probs the best way to help yourself get on with your life and also do what you love. I work part time (fulltime) & also freelance. The Part Time offers me security, the freelance enables me to work on some cool and exciting ventures and also earn extra for me to more comfortably live my life and also offering me time to create content like this. It's all about choosing what you work with part time, can you find work in the same field?
Hey sorry for bothering you, I've recently started learning editing, I can't take a full time job because of my college, so How do I learn more? and getting a freelance job for a newbie is so hard as there's so many talented people out there. Do you have any practical advice for me? Thankyou.
Hey man! So i'm 16 years old (almost 17) and i've been going back and forth with considering careers and stuff, but then i discovered video editing and i think i want to dedicate the next couple of years to really learning how everything works and building connections I have but one questions which i would love to get answered! As a full-time freelance editor, can i live anywhere i want (Japan as an example) and make money by doing business with anyone? or do i need to be in a big city with lots of people and corporations? Haven't really been able to get a yes or no answer so i hope you can give me one! : )
It doesn't matter where you live.... You can earn money from anywhere in the world. You should have some good communication skills and have the ability to sell your experience through work and you will be fine and earning good. Just work on your skills. Best of luck for your future

Music needs to be turned down a little. Don't have the music compete with the volume of your voice, it's a turn off to where I want to click off.
I like your videos
Thank you Dely!
6:19 sounds exactly like a perfect segue for a VPN sponsor lmao

How much could be earned by a video editor?
You can earn anything from minimum wage to some jobs paying 40k+ a year (UK standard)
