I just wash my HEPA filter with warm water and liquid laundry detergent. The trick is to make sure the detergent is mixed well with water and to be VERY gentle with your filter. A soft dunk around 15 times should do. Then rinse again with soft dunks.
Very good advice. Just to add. I use a little soap powder mixed well with warm water. I dunk a few times like yourself, then I rinse with clean cold water. We've had our pet vacuum cleaner for over 10 years because I look after the filter. I use the same process for our air purifier and our vacuum. Nuver add laundry softener and never scrub the filter 👍
@@FknNefFy It's worked for over 10 years. We have pets so our vacuum has to work pretty hard. After doing what I do, the vacuum cleaner smells neutral and stays smell free again for months. Well done for knowing how to use Google. Not everything you read on the net is true! Google it Dummy👍
So you just vacuum a HEPA filter with a significantly less performant filter (vacuum cleaner), pulling those particulate matters right back into your air, all at once. Very SMART.

I'll have to try that, I used dishsoap and it didn't get it 100%

But how does one remove all of the sticky fluff that even a toothbrush won't remove is what most of us want to know?
Sounds like time to replace them :) better thsn waiting even longer until the purifier breaks because of gunk
