I own a CM47LE and it really is a superb sounding U47. The passive cardioid just takes it to a very special place and I can't say I prefer the feel of a real U47 over it.
Few years ago i bought a CM87 and i can say it really worths its money! Great in this price range! Here is a shoot out i 've recorded with this and some more expensive and high end mics i now use for my job: ruclips.net/video/sBqspGZ_Dac/видео.html (Neumann TLM103 and TLM67, Vanguard V13 and Warm wa87). CM87 still keeps a position in my collection, it is a boutique item and absolutely love it!
