I love cooking having been taught by mum from a young age. Have you been watching long because it’s probably a 50/50 split on main meals.
Loved this one, Richard the Lion Heart, beautiful countryside, and I finally get to find out what Braunston pickle looks like. My favorite Narrowboat vlogger loves a cheese and pickle sandwich.

Lovely video, we live on the Bassin d'arcachon and last January my husband asked me if I wanted to accompany him on business to Rouen for a week. I wasn't particularly enthralled but thought ok why not. It very quickly became one of my favourite cities in France, the Rouenais , the history and architecture, the restaurants ( you were very unlucky in your choice of restaurant) and cafe's. I walked along the river, in freezing temperatures, and snowing to find the maritime museum, eventually I did find it but unfortunately it was rather underwhelming but one of the volunteer museum workers drove me all the way back to the centre because the weather was so bad. The people are so warm and friendly.
We were blown away by the architecture and it had a lovely atmosphere 🙂

Rouen looked amazing but I would find all the crowds quite daunting. I loved the drone footage with the calming music near the end. There is something I’ve always loved about the saxophone, whether slow and melodic or upbeat. Bye for now.

Rouen looked amazing. We only had a very brief stop there to get a meal on our way back from the Normandy Beaches. Never knew it had a connection with either Richard the Lion heart or Joan of Arc. Loved it. Thanks for sharing 👍☺️🐕🚙

Rouen is a very interesting place. I was there in August with my Nissan NV200 and visited basically the same places as you did. Free dedicated campervan parking on the river island with walking distance to the cathedral. Guess you missed that. I spent the night there and it was alright albeit very crowded. I know you don't like to crowd up with other vans and I am the same. But when visiting a city I make an exception!

Thanks for sharing your walk around Rouen, I went to Normandy on a school trip and I’ve just had a look at a map of the area to see if I could remember where we stayed. I think it was in Deauville or possibly Trouville, anyway we definitely visited Rouen, Honfleur and Bayeux which I loved. I remember we couldn’t visit the cathedral in Rouen or where Joan of Arc was executed as there was major work going on, so it was lovely to finally ‘see’ it with you two. 🌈🧶🍓💙

I lived in central France for a couple of years. I always found the amount of churches in such poor rural areas very intimidating. You can literally go into a tiny village and there is an enormous church looming over it, not forgetting the chateaus in every nook and cranny, No wonder there was the revolution.

Great adventures as always, Rouen is great. Joan of Arc's suit of armour is in Reims Cathedral... she was not just so very young but also of diminutive stature, quite childlike in proportion. Happy Days. Kia Ora from New Zealand. 💜💜

Lovely to see Rouen again! Looks as if the exterior of the cathedral has been cleaned up: when I was there in the 70s it was a grey-black due to pollution. Super video as always!

That was a great explore! I have a suggestion, go to Rennes - le- Chateau in France. My father and his brother went there, they enjoyed it very much. Although they are no longer with me! I would love to see you explore it and see what you think!

Fabulous drone footage of the flowers, surrounding farm land, loved your lazy morning, it has to be done sometimes. Rouen was amazing, but agree with you, too many people. This has added a new city to my bucket list! The Cathedral is amazing! Do you know why Richard the Lionhearted’s heart is interred in France? I believe he fought in one of the Crusades and if so, he and the French would have fought as brothers vs the war which Joan of Arc fought in. I am not even going to take a nibble out of that subject, except to say that I have always greatly admired Joan of Arc, and the soldiers who fought beside her and followed her. So I hope I get the opportunity to visit there.
I have not heard of an active church charging an admission. Accepting donations, sure, but charging? Huh. Is that something that happens regularly near the places you have visited?

His heart is there because Rouen was the location of his troops' base during the Third Crusade and Rouen was a significant city in Normandy, which was part of Richard's domain.
