Brilliant summary! Haven't actually read that one I just finished Aion which ended up being more of a slog in the middle than I expected but back on his Psychology of Kundalini Yoga now which is just packed with gold. That saying about Faust making Goethe rather than the other way around is epic god I love Jung

Thanks friend! Was a great read yeah.
Wow, Aion is a tough one haha, I still need to go through Man and His Symbols; Memories, Dreams, Reflections and then start w/ Archetypes of the collective unconscious (pt 1&2). I've heard him talk abt Kundalini, sounds quite interesting.
The red book also looks interesting, but i'll save that when i'm mentally prepared for it haha

@@Eternalised Man and his symbols! that's what I was trying to think of that was my first Jung read. MDR is a great read really enjoyable personable way of entering into Jung and Archetypes and the Collective Unconscious 1 is brilliant lot of golden essays in there (2 is Aion and while there is gold in there there's just a little too much on the fish but then again it could have been the fact that I was reading it in bits and pieces)
Red book is also on my horizon. Might wait till I'm having my own midlife crisis so I can really relate XD

If you want to talk about philosophy you should go check out Henry Berkson. He's the one that inspired Carl Jung! Many of his theories arise out of Berkson's work. Particularly, if I remember right, the vital impulse.
Also of note Berkson debated Einstein on his theory of relativity and actually won the Nobel prize over Einstein because he showed that Einstein's theory was flawed.

No offense but science give more then any religion understanding not only of our emotion but showing us the most accurate picture of them not for what we think these are but what really these are. See no need in abandoning reason that's why I always emphasize importance of understanding scientific development. What was discovered still can be accurate or relevant but very likely it was already corrected and new better therapies are formulated. Therefore we should look at philosophers as a guide but for details knowledge on reality we live in to the modern days science. Balance in that understanding that psychology neuroscience are one of the fastest developing disciplines of science. Historical education and knowing where it all come form yes I hear a lot of people who don't understand scientific methods or knowledge theory and they relay only on some psychologist book from the past I think it should be clarified a bit more how that all for into modern psychology. Disclaimer at the end or begining of the video we have to know that not every viewer knows what creator knows of this vid and even if they think they know there can be lack of understanding of the basics so they need to be said some things. Me inlucded no how I'm different from people I describe even knowing I spent last ten years learning about philosophy and psychology. Thank you for a video
