Thanks Freddy. Ya parts of it like the reefer unit are apot on and then they do weird things in other areas. Good thing theres space and parts for upgrading. Thanks for stopping bye. I know you have that nice flatbed as well.
I drive a truck with an european reefer trailer and only the doors at the back aren't correctly The underbox is used for pallets and i have bought an alu floorboard to go in instead of the plastic one
Nice, I also drove here in BC for over a decade, only recently I was starting to see trailers with single wheels/tires. Yes this trailer is pretty scale looking for a European look, but I'm gonna make it look more like the ones from over here. I think most reefers are tandem as well, not tridems? Anyway nice of you to stop by, thanks pal 👍
Here the doors of refrigerated trucks do not have this kind of closure, it is more like those of containers, and the hinges are much smaller. This is a remark I made on my tamiya truck. Really nice these bumpers, but I don't understand why you put a tank on the trailer, do you have that in Canada? It's funny the difference between each country for these trailers. The sides are completely smooth here. I also think these 3D doors will look a lot better, it's the right closure and the hinges are much more realistic, and once they are smooth it will be great. Great job 👍
Yes my friend you are right, the hinges are more for the container, but they look much better than the tamiya hinges. Yes there are many differences in the trailers from Europe to America and Canada. Nice to hear from you. I appreciate the comment Pascal👍

@@lthutchins9473 Im sorry Im still confused or misunderstanding something. You are asking if the reefer trailer is longer than the box trailer, but what box trailer are you talking about? The only one on the bench is the reefer trailer.
@@westernsharpie lol! Sorry, I was referring to Tamiya's Box trailer in general (not another trailer in your video). I'm guessing Tamiya went off container-sized boxes (40ft) for their box trailers and they've always looked too short (34.8"). After I inquired here, I did a little research. The Tamiya Reefer trailer is 4" longer than their regular box trailer. That's why your trailer looks so much better as it's closer to what a 48'-53' foot long trailer should look like. A perfect 1/14 scale trailer would be around 41" and the Reefer is 38.5".
@@lthutchins9473 Ahhh I see what you're saying. So I did a bit of math and some research this is what I can say. Yes my reefer is 38.5 inches long and in 1/14 scale it translates to a 45' trailer, so what you're saying correct. If it were 41 inches long (2.5 inches longer) it would translate to a 48' trailer and would have been ideal as far as scale looks go. Now when you say "box" trailer for me the only other trailer that Tamiya makes that I would refer to as a "box" trailer, would be the intercontinental express model (van style trailers). I think you're also referring to the container trailers as box trailers, which I don't because for me they're in a separate category (containers). If the containers measure out to 34.8" then technically Tamiya is correct because that would scale out to a 40' trailer which is what it is advertised at. I have an intercontinental trailer in the box that i'll be building soon. I just opened it and checked to see the dimensions. It's also 38.5 inches, the same as the reefer, which is nice because "van" style trailers are typically 48' or 53'. I hope that all made sense. 👍
Sorry but this is not something I sell. Just a personal build of mine. I might sell some of the accessories i've added to the trailer sometime down the road. Thanks
My curiosity and anticipation are growing. Fight!
Thanks friend!
It ’s very cool.
The newly added rear bumper and rear door hatch are also pretty cool.
It was fun to see the changes.👍
Thanks Kou
Looking great! Tamiya is close on it's details, but does fall short too... Those Bumpers are awesome. 👌 Can't wait to see the Doors!
Thanks Carmine, ya who are we to knock Tamiya eh lol. I agree, the bumper fine, but i've never seen doors like that on a semi before. Take care pal
You know what you're doing for sure, great update 👍
Great video. I like the dual wheels better. Every thing looks great
Same here, thanks for the visit
@@westernsharpie your welcome
Yeah, what you do to these rigs is awesome! Not really sure why Tamiya chooses not to really keep the true scale look intact.

How much longer is the reefer trailer than the regular box trailer. Looks significantly longer or is it just the camera angle?
