I want to go back in time to my first office over 40 years ago and get those 5 old metal stacked up file cabinets...3 were in a stack and 2 others atop each other. I think they were tossed when new people took over that little private accounting house. Pity...so many useful things were trashed back then. None of us knew the future when people like you would one day show us the way. ...But the hippies in the 60's and 70's actually refurbished all kinds of old furniture and restyled clothes and renovated old apartments and houses...I always thought they were super cool but my folks would never allow me to be like them.

Girl, a couple of months ago I attacked a file cabinet similar to yours. I painted the original hardware-rose gold. I followed all the steps. I painted the cabinet white but after 3 coats it looked NOTHING as pretty as yours! I used a good chalk paint and a painter’s mitt to apply. Then...I gave up; donated it to Goodwill. FAIL. Maybe I should have tried one more coat of paint with a good brush like yours.🤷‍♀️
