I'm so happy you enjoy this! When I was in the UK, I told a friend about the show and they were appalled! "WHAT'S IT CALLED?" Their reaction distaste, shock and horror only lessened when I explained "No... Schitts Creek, not Sh*ts Creek!" I managed to find episodes for them around the same time I introduced them to "Grace and Frankie!" They got hooked on both shows claiming they were brilliant and far from their initial reaction and told other people how good they were and to watch.
As a parent of teenagers, I will say that while the intensity of my love for my children is the same, there are certain things about each of them that I do prefer. With my daughter, I like her artistic, gutsy personality. With my son, I like his more reserved, mature, thoughtful personality. So I think parents may or may not have favorites, but what we like about our children is no different than our preferences for other people. Parents chime in.
All parents have favorites. Doesn’t mean you don’t love the others, you just love one more. I come from a larger family, there were favorites and it didn’t bother us. We were all loved.
It’s great to revisit “Schitt’s Creek” after not having seen it in a while, especially with all of your hilarious sidebar comments. And when the disclaimer came up, I laughed louder than I have in a long time.

Actually woild you guys be up to checking out some Asian Gay Series, like from Korea or Thailand. Because personally they have the best lgbt television to exist. Korean series like, 'Semantic Error' and 'The Eighth Sense'. And Thai series like, 'KinnPorsche' and 'Only Friends' are really really good. I mean, if you don't react to them I can only recommend you watch them cus they are amazing❤

i'm surprised you guys haven't seen this before. regardless of whether you do a reaction, you should watch season 1 as the evolution of Moira into MOIRA is fun to watch. if by the end of the series you're not doing your best Moira at the local gay pub, your queer card will be confiscated.
as far as poly, it's sort of like open relationships in general: it's whatever you agree on. my husband and i had one early on and the one thing i'd say is that they are *work*. my pattern after was that i'd get infatuated with some boy and as my infatuation wound down, i'd make them another of my husband's girlfriends and they'd have fun as they'd all point at me and laugh. that worked for him, and worked for me as i did actually like them even if it started out with my little brain leading me on.
you should do my new fave Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe. it's super sweet but one hilarious line is a euphemism for wanking i hadn't heard "shaking hands with my best friend" (it's in the book, but it's really great). it's got a really unique POV of coming of age gay, Mexican-Americans near the border in the late 80's. and both of the boys are adorable, of course. Reese Gonzales was immediately admitted to my dark curly-haired gay boy pantheon along with Joe Locke and Omar Rudberg.
Really want to show Schittts Creek to my parenter though I will be ranting about how bad the poly rep is as a polycurious person especially as my partner who's (also) Poly is supportive of me
