We can put some motivational quotes or picture related to what we want to become in the future .....it will always motivate you to work hard to achieve your dreams.
**TLDR** Mugs are great for storing pens you use regularly, generic particle board organizers on Amazon are also great for pens you use less often, so if you can try using both! My tip is if you have a ton of pens you use fairly regularly and don't want to go digging through a horizontal tray, try cool mugs! I have a small collection of mugs I use for my pens. My favorites (including my JetPens exclusive California Republic Tornado!) all go in my California edition Starbucks mug. However I also have other types of organizers for different things on my desks. In particular I have Marbrasse particle board organizers for the remainder of my pens - spares mostly - to save on space. They're cheap and still fairly convenient, but I find it much easier to find a pen in a mug than in one of those so you have to be pretty methodical with them. I also have a mesh cup but I find I prefer the lower height of mugs because pens are easier to retrieve.
Perfect timing since I've been watching so many desk setup and organization videos lately. I like to make sure I have a safe spot for my coffee mug and always keep a water bottle easily accessible too.
Just finished a 12 hour shift and this is the perfect little video to unwind to with my cup of tea and my feet soaking in a little pan of hot water. Thank you
Yes, prioritising is very important for people like me. I always end up using 3-4 resources to study at the same time and i love studying like this.(it's my guilty pleasure) So i avoid having anything unnecessary on my desk so that i have more space for all the books and stationery. All i have on my desk is a pen stand, my laptop and a clock with small artificial pot. I like more minimalistic desk set up.
Crazy coincidence that I've been looking to rearrange my desk lately and honestly didn't know where to start! A thoughtful and appreciated video. Thank you!
Love this video! When organizing my desk I like to keep all my top used stationary supplies visible and everything else is stored into a dresser near by. My desk is very messy but there’s a rhythm to the madness!
thanks for this i find the figuring your essentials the best part because you explain it well and i think that its important when setting desk to be honest i feel like i watch almost all of your vids great work jet pens.
Oh my god, are you guys spying on me, I have been thinking of setting up my desk for the last few days and watching some desk setup videos and now your videos have come up. Its like magic.
I would like to add, have a specific place for everything, and minimize the moves you have to accesses what you use the most. Every thing I use is within 90⁰ to 180⁰ rotation of my chair. (I have a U shaped desk.) I sit in the center, and that is my rest position. [I almost never use the left half of my U so it is used for displays, and things I don't need every day. Like a knight pen holder, holding a sharpie. A pencil holder that is an impaled zombie. Next to my 2019 safety award. I prefer to use the lihit lab pen cases to store my pens. It keeps them organized, and it is much easier to put them away at the end of the day. I have a specific cup that are my give away pens. If someone needs a pen, it comes out of that cup. It is always left on my desk. If you plan on using something everyday, don't keep it in a box with a lid, removing the lid will become annoying. Lastly, you need a scratch pad in a specific place on your desk, so when inspiration hits, you can reach for it and not have to think where it is.
This is very timely! I'm ordering a new sit/stand desk for myself and I already was overwhelmed with how much stuff is on the current one. I'd like to not do that again especially as I work in my bedroom lol. Love this inspiration!
Cool setup with the collectibles. I would have lots of fidget things and some small plushies. However, I do not do the acrylic cases. I look for things that will not get scratched up, and are sustainable. Even though it is heavier and breakable, i would go for glass cases and wooden nicknack cubby holes. Bamboo is preferable to me, just as long as it is sustainably harvested. Glad you are happy with your design, sorry if I sound negative. Not meant to be, just my autism.
I can’t help but noticing you have a stationery cart in the background, could you make a video on tips to have it organized? Every time I’m done using something at my desk I just put it on there but it ends up looking really messy and idk how to make it more clean and pleasing on the eyes? Love the videos!!
Great video! It seems to be more of a table (no drawers) than a desk (with drawers), so you need a lot more organizers than you would with a traditional desk.
I just moved my desk at home closer to the window because I wanted to see my plants and some green during the day, but I've noticed the sun is not as nice as I thought, especially when I have conference calls almost back to back.
thank you for this video! the part with the keyboard was very useful, i never really knew where to put mine and i feel like my wrist are actually tired bc i was in the wrong position all this time!
I keep the top of my desk clear. I need a large workspace for my art. However, my drawers are a mess! I just throw stuff in whichever drawer has space. You should make a drawer organizing video! I'd appreciate it 😉
Completely unrelated to the video but I recently bought these highlighters called sharpie s-note and Zebra sarasa and they don’t smudge my pentel energel and they come in 30 pastel colours. They can also be used to write with, highlight and do calligraphy because of their bendable chisel tip which is similar to the Faber-castell Pitt artist pen in SC.
I know it wasn‘t featured in the description (or maybe I didn‘t look hard enough) but what is that interesting cover for the Jibun Techo? I love trifold journal covers! Thanks for sharing this setup with all of us, I found the plushie display case idea very handy and cute!
Oh thanks sm!! I'm actually sharing a room with my sibling. She would always use my desk and place her pc there. Ugh so annoying! Thank you for these tips!

I wouldn't get any work done with so much stuff on my desk 😂 it is just the essentials for me. Laptop on a stand, mouse, a planner/notebook, small pencilcase and the pencilstand that is always on my desk, something to drink. 👍
I'm moving into a new home next week with space to finally have a permanent desk set up, so this comes at the perfect time! How many mildliners would you say fit in those clear organizers?
There's a link in the description, it links to all the displays. I'm not sure which one in particular was used though, I left my own comment asking for clarification.
The keyboard tray is really interesting and would probably help with my posture, especially my neck, but I also suck at touch-typing despite spending a lot of my work hours coding, so I'd probably end up looking down & straining my neck more >
I specifically want to copy you laptop stand. I clicked the link for the clear containers but can't figure out which one you used. I know you doubled up, but I'm unsure. Please help! Also thank you for the videos. It might sound odd but I honestly look forward to the new releases on this channel. My partner laughs at how big I smile every time y'all upload. I love the style of this channel, and I enjoy learning about stationary. I've always wanted to get into it as a useful hobby, but didn't know where to start. Thank you!
Who has so much place on their desk? I have two or three laptops, a screen and that's about the space of a normal desk. I can barely add a notebook. I am jealous 😁
I feel like it would be too cluttered for me. Not to try to be offensive, everybody has a different preference. It is extremely cute :) I have too much stuff and it's not good for my mental health. I do really like the clear containers though, it would be definitely easier to find items. Might consider those in the future :)

love the idea of using display cases for a laptop stand AND store your plushies! they're protected from dust while being visible

Ergonomics is the most important part of setting up a work space. You did a good job of describing proper posture. 👍🏻

Such a timely video! Im struggling so hard to figure out where to start.
