    This is actually pretty cool! I wonder what it would take to add extra batteries to this system... 🤔

    Should have used solder tubes so people aren't discouraged by the solder tools. For those who don't know they are tubes that you slide each side of the wire that you are joining into. Then you can use a lighter or heat gun to melt the solder and the tube shrinks making a water tight seal.

      I think the point is introducing people to very simple diy methods so they can learn to mod themselves. Ford could have just released plug n play kits at ridiculously inflated prices, or used an existing 12v connector.
      Goes with their whole angle of marketing to non-truck people who want to feel more handy.

    I like the lights for the bed of the truck!.. but also thinking of lights under my Maverick would be cool to have as well.. Really excited about getting my XLT Hybrid..

    How do you connect the lights on the opposite side of the bed so one switch works both sides? The video only shows wiring and mounting one side.

      Do it the same way they showed, but splice another 2 wire connector into the harness that comes with the truck. Then your could have one side wired on one switch, and the other side on a separate switch.

      @@jordandaggers1430 I assume they ran a cable under the lip on the front of the bed to the other side.

      @@jordandaggers1430 So you're using both of the 12V circuits they supply just for lights, and you have to switch it twice?

    I love the DIY vibe with the new Maverick.
    Can we get an all-electric version?

    • @NeptuneAvenger
      @NeptuneAvenger 2 года назад +1

      The F-series Lightning is the first all-electric truck they are making, after that the Ranger and Maverick should follow if the Lightning does well.

      A plug in hybrid would be cool as well. I like having the gas option, but extended electric range on shorter trips would be amazing.

    Hey Ford I heard about the everglades is that going to be a bronco color or is it going to be a package? I think if it's a package it should have the rubber floors, marine vinyl seats, a Snorkel (like the tacoma has a snorkel option from the factory) and water proof electronics because it would be cool to be able to wash the bronco out with a hose after taking it through a mud hole and if you got muddy then got in the bronco you would be getting everything muddy and it would be much easier to just wash everything with the garden hose.
    Also you should think about offering a strip down model for those who want just the essentials or want mechanical equipment instead of all those electronics. Electronics fail way to often and they have limits you should know this because the bronco uses a hydraulic sway bar disconnect unlike jeeps electronic. Therefor I say the bronco should have an optional manual transition with all engine options a manual, transfer case and manual diff lockers.

    But can I have both hooked up or just one?

    • @Grisher100
      @Grisher100 2 года назад

      both, just be aware if both ON may have too much power draw. lights may dim compressor may not full run. Just like underpowering any device.

    Make a single cab version of this truck and I'll buy. The bed is beyond small with a double cab.

    Now Ford trucks are some "assembly required"
