I’m 36 years old now. This scene still brings tears to my eyes. I remember when i played it as a kid. When this game first came out here in the states. The moment in the story when this scene happens, when Chu-Chu grows to immense size; it was completely unexpected for me. When he grew huge my eyes watered up and I leapt of happiness as if my favorite sports team had won a championship against impossible odds. Then the scene goes from strength to strength, with Maria bringing forth Seibzehn. Then, the dialogue in this entire scene. Wow. Scenes like this never get old and reach deep into my heart. Much love for this, the music and all. Xenogears was the first RPG I ever played. Played many after. But this set the bar pretty high for me. I hope this scene in the game feels like a warm hug to any one reading this.
I'm 37 and this game will always be up there at the top for me. I love the game, this scene, this song, all of it. :) I'm reallllllly hoping for a remaster, remake, port, something, anything... any kind of sign of love from Square concerning this great game. :D
It took me so long to realize that midori was telling her that “your father is calling, but not from that scary thing there” before she had the realization
@@GodandNothinghavealotincommon Don't look at me. If it was up to me, it would have been made already. This game needs it more than most since the original game never got finished properly to begin with.
@@DoctorThor98 Yes! Right on all counts. It's a testament to how great the game is when half of it is a butchered cliff notes of what it was supposed to be. We need to start a petition for this and Chrono Trigger.

I played this game when it first came out (1998?) so I hardly remember anything at all from it. It was mega long, longer than ff7, I might make myself replay it someday to get the story down.
Play Xenoblade Chronicles (spiritual succesor to Xenogears with a story created by the same guy), the first game destroyed my mind, the second game destroyed my heart and I'm ready fo the third game destoy me again
17 vs 18.......loses the emotional impact when you translate the german lol......but Seibzehn was his greatest creation before he gave up his humanity for Achtzehn.....so it still works It was the human component that gave it it's power.....it's soul.....when Nikolai relinquished that, he lost his heart......and his strength. He left his true strength with Maria and Seibzehn.......the fact he left a fail safe to talk to Maria and unlock Seibzehn's capabilities literally verified that he had doubts with Achtzehn and wanted to leave a "true" message for his daughter.....a message of hope, forgiveness and understanding
Xenogears, Vagrant Story.... there's still many classics that elude modern audiences. Remasters, remakes or hell, even just some ports of some of these games would be GREAT. Square Enix has been doing pretty well in reviving some of their classics... they just haven't gotten to them all yet.
Who is older than 30 and still cries from this video?
That would be me.
Right here.
Me too
I wish they remake this game in ps5 or pc

well im sure all who press your like button growth to a good man and do not became a criminal. this game teaches alot of things
same, it always bring tears to my eyes..and this song's always give me courage whenever I'm listening to it
This is so emotional for me, Maria's dad is with her all along (Seibzehn)

There's no other way to put it... Chu-Chu turned into a kaiju.
A Kaichu if you will.
The strongest Kaichu

Chu-chu at the end of the game is so good. She can heal without having to use fuel. Always had her in my party.
Thanks for uploading this. Still brings a tear to my eyes.
Same. :) I plan on playing this game again in the coming year. Can't wait for this part.

It’s incredible how much heart went into this game back in 98. Truly a masterpiece.
That Chu scene is my favorite scene from the game

Maria was doing that run before Naruto made it popular.
I get so friggin' hyped seeing her head down there to kick some ass.
Right in the feels. . .
Powerful, Epic.. Damn near perfect. Thank you for making this video.😇👍
40 years old. This is Final Fantasy 7 were the 1st two games I got on my Ps for Christmas. Turned out to be 1 of the best choices I ever made.
I love this scene so beautiful and touching with a fitting background music
13:43 Now and forever!
14:16 I will always be with you. Now and forever...
Yep this is indeed a sad scene. Haunting my memory even 20 year later.
I watch this scene alone. Because i can shed tears.
5:56 music starts * eye brow raise
*Chu Chu grows big
"OH SHIT!"
Flight, argruably my favorite song of the PS1, Saturn, N64 era
I like it. :D
Xenogears and Xenosaga made me cry. Loved both games!
Why can't we get remasters/ports/remakes/something!?
10:40 Join me, and together, we can rule the galaxy as father and daughter!
^ my nickname (had it for about 25 years now) is short for Seibzehn... That states how much I love this scene, how much I love this game !
wow i play this game when I'm just a kid this scene is no matter to me but now I think this scene is a very sad one. I have to go play this game again
Its very deepest game.
Soaring is the best theme of the game
2024. Still love this game.
Damn i forgot how bad ass chu-chu was.❤

Crazytaru1 everytime you play this you will discover something new. The game doesnt explain everything. You would need the Perfect Works book.
it's supposed to be longer and much bigger than FF7, but they cut the budget, it was supposed to be 4-5 disc long
soaring is a epic song!!!
Still waiting for the day chuchu says "yu go chu jail bad boy" 😁
