I agree. My only Korean knowledge is my Kpop obsession and from watching that the girls tend to wear very short skirts and dresses that would be considered very sexy almost inappropriate in the west. Body type plays a big part too. I love the Korean/Japanese skirt look but I have a fair amount of booty on me so it never looks “youthful” or “playful” just sexy.
@@Alan_Mac not sure. I follow a lot of the UK girls on social media and they dress pretty out there. OSSC, thanks for your videos, they make the world a smaller place. I really enjoy seeing the South Korean culture. The ladies outfits look good, but their hair and makeup is stunning. World class beauty.
I've seen many girls just wearing these clothes out shopping and on dates in like, the young hip parts of Seoul. It seems there aren't really "party clothes" so much as "going out clothes" which is basically clothing you'd wear when you want to look a little special and even more put together than usual. That might be why it's so conservative compared to our idea of party clothes, because it's pretty multipurpose haha
Ik this video is just lighthearted fun, but there's actually so much to say about it! To me, both the Korean and 'Western' party outfits are sexy. However, the Korean styles I imagine would be much more common for casual house parties, lunches, afternoon bar hops, etc. Western styles I immediately associate with city nightlife! I also caught on to the difference between which body parts they were willing to reveal! It does seem like a lot of women I know in the US (at least the part I'm from), are more awkward about revealing the lower body--in my experience it's easier to "get away with" some cleavage or a bare back than a super short skirt. Additionally, these women wore mainly neutral colors, fitted but not completely bodycon silhouettes, and minimal to no patterns. Perhaps part of the reason for their embarrassment w Western/American styles is bc the latter was very visually bold. Very bodycon silhouette, bright saturated colors, prints, big accessories, etc. I think along with being more revealing than they're used to, the Western party styles are flashy and attention grabbing Edit: All of them killed it with both versions, but it's good to see them being more comfortable in their own clothes c:
