Thank you for hosting Dr. Gregory Beale and his keys for the interpretation of the Book of Revelation. The key that the primary lens by which to read the book is symbolic truly turns on its head the common dictum that biblical text should be read literally first and only symbolically as a last resort (ref. Minutes 18-20 of lecture). In many quarters that view is still heretical. Yet seeing the book of Revelation through this lens not only brings the book into clear focus, but makes common sense. Not only that, this key opens the door to the narrow road of faith. Hopefully we are saved from the wide road of accommodation to the Babylon of popular culture and the corrupted church, and from the last two thousand years of false literal understandings of the meaning of terms like the end of days, the 1260 days, the 42 months, the return, the son of man, the clouds of heaven, and the judgment day.

When you say Revelations need interpreting you are saying that God cannot speak clearly and concisely. And remember He has had well over 2,000 years to get it right. And if He requires different versions, what makes you think yours is the right one?
No, thanks, I'll wait for the book that is perfectly understood without holy rollers to offer translations. That's the least God can do for us.
