When I saw A Hard Days Night as a kid, I laughed pretty hard when John took the scissors to the measuring tape and said "I now declare this bridge open" as well as when he was messing around in the bathtub with the toy submarine.
He had this thing about making fun of crippled people since he was a kid. They said he would see crippled people on the street or wherever and just laugh his head off. People like that used to freak him out a bit as well. As a kid he used to draw cartons of crippled people. In grade school he wanted to be an artist and he wrote and illustrated his own sort of poetry and cartoon magazine which he would hand out to friends and it always had cartoons and comics of crippled people that he wrote and illustrated. I'm not changing the subject here but if you didn't grow up with them while they were together you'll never really quite understand how huge and loved and admired they were and how crazy people would get around them.. This will kind of illustrate all that.. In the early days when the Beatles were still touring everybody wanted a piece of them and everybody wanted to get close to them. Read the story of what happened to them while they were touring and went to the Philippines. It was scary as hell. They all could have been killed, all for a misunderstanding. Anyway, local politicians would demand an audience with them or demand that they meet their children or even that they themselves meet the Beatles. Hollywood movie moguls and famous producers would throw them parties and when they would arrive, there would be mobs of people that were also invited. Their hosts would demand that they stand up and meet everyone like politicians shaking hands with everyone in a huge crowd. They were once "ordered" to attend a party that the British ambassador to the US threw for them at the British Embassy in Washington. They didn't want to go but their manager told them that should to go. It would make them look really bad if they refused. They didn't have any interest in rubbing elbows with the rich and powerful and famous. They really couldn't have cared less about people in high places. At the British Embassy they were mobbed and not allowed to leave the room while politicians and embassy staff grabbed at them and poked them and even made fun of them and talked about them in their presence like they were circus freaks. They were grabbed and held and women in the crowd would actually cut handfuls of hair off their heads. You have to realize how radical and different and even strange their long hair was back then. Looking at old films and photos' of them now, no one even notices their hair but back then they looked like freaks from another planet just because of their long hair. Everything about them, ESPECIALLY their music, was radical. They said they absolutely hated all that and it sometimes scared the shit out of them how much people would get out of control when they were around. Back to the cripples! There were times at concerts that the first few rows would be reserved for institutionalized crippled and deformed children. They would look down while playing and see all these deformed kids in the front row who would be drooling and couldn't even sit up. Before some of these concerts the people in charge of these children would demand an audience with the Beatles and they would force their way into their dressing rooms and demand that the Beatles touch them and all that craziness. THAT is something to really freak out about and they did. It wasn't long before they demanded from their manager, Brian Epstein, that he turn down every invitation and every demand to meet the Beatles from politicians, local bigwigs, celebrities and others like that because it used to scare the hell out of them. George used to say that he always thought they would be assassinated in the US because they came to the US only a few months after JFK was assassinated and it was Americans who used to freak out the most. Her said people sometimes threw firecrackers onto the stage during a concert and they thought people were shooting at them. There were even a few occasions when they would get on a plane to fly to the next city for a concert and people took pot shots at their planes. They would later find bullet holes in some of those planes. Again, if you didn't grow up with them then you really have no clue how insanely huge they were and how insane the world was about them. I guess John was doing all that nonsense on stage as a way of striking back and coping with all the insanity that always surrounded them.
Just out of curiosity, how were you able to find a lot of the outtakes during the Beatles recording sessions? I thought of using some of them for a couple videos of my own that i thought of making for another RUclipsr that I’m really good friends with. She’s a huge Beatles fan, and she’s never heard of any of the outtakes before. Please respond whenever/if you can and have a good day.
funny, i thought they got married because she was pregnant and it would've been even worse if the public found out they were pregnant and they weren't married
It's patently obvious that Beatles humour is John's humour. They always aped him, and followed his lead. But alone, the other three are pale imitations. I love all of them, but it's a fact.
John obviously could not stand anyone else trying to be funny. Like so many people of his Alpha type character. It can’t cope with what he thinks of as competition.

I once shared a cab with George’s mothers brothers gardeners daughter. She sold canned peas at the back of a farmers market in Detroit.

I wonder why John would always do that weird thing when Paul told the audience to clap their hands and stomp their feet.
He was mocking retarded people, for some reason he thought that was funny.
