Hello Dear Chu, I'm so glad to hear your Mum is doing better:) Now that the doctors have her on the right protocols she can continue to improve. You had me scared during some parts of your story, fearing the worst. I know that terrible anxiety the hospital can put you through when they don't give you a straight answer:( In Aug 0f 08' My Mom weht in to take care of a bout of diverticulosis and that went fine but they wanted to keep her in for just a couple of more days to get her oxygen levels up a bit higher but in the three days that followed she contracted a case of MRSA and went down hill fast. Over the next three days they tried various antibiotics but nothing worked and at 2:46am the hospital called and said I'd better get up there right away but it was too late . I had been her full time caregiver for the last 23 years after a bad car accident when she was 48 and I was 20 and to have gone through all that that entails for her to be taken by a hospital acquired infection was a real kick in the gut. I'm so glad you Mum ids doing well but please be aware of the cleanliness of the room and the staff. They suspect it was the Dr.s going from room to room with their street clothes on,dragging their ties over other patients as the lent in to listen to their hearts that spread the infection in my Mom's case. Sorry,I don't mean to worry you but I just hope this kind of thing can be prevented from affecting anybody else. All the best to your Mum for a speedy recovery and to you for being such a good daughter!:) Thanks.
I am so happy for to hear that your mom is doing so good notw. The complications from diabetes can be awful. When you started to cry I just wanted to reach through my screen and give you a big Texas size hug. I will keep you and your mom in my thoughts and prayers.
It sadden me to listen that you and your family went through a bad experience, Tracey. Health problems can get bad at times, unfortunately. But, I am glad to know that your mother is on the mend. I hope she gets the all-clear in no time. Stay strong, you and all your family. Big warm Hug!!
so glad to hear she's feeling better, and i totally a agree with the hospitals not telling the truth thing, it always annoys me. i really enjoyed watching this even though it was sad because i felt like was i having a chat with my aunty Pam. I hope your mum comes home soon.
