I was 13 in 1979 when this song was released. And then I discovered another awesome band called Thin Lizzy. 1985 I bought my first bass guitar and became an Iron Maiden fanatic and also got right into all the blues greats. So many good ones. And then there's Rory Gallagher. Just brilliant!
I love living vicariously through people discovering great music for the first time! Watching Ashley react to KISS reminds me of hearing them for the first time myself back in the day. Rock and roll will never die.
Yes, Yes, YES! KISS Army member here, & thank you for reacting to my 2nd all-time fave rock band! While KISS are a hard glam rock band, this song has a slight disco vibe. Lead singer Paul Stanley was told he couldn't write disco music, & he wrote this rocker in less than an hr. Fantastic showmen, NEVER disappoint!
I love KISS and have since I was a kid in the 70s and I swear Paul is in the closet still. No harm I dont care but geez Paul come out and be free man before you die.
Great band, and they were my first concert. It was the end of 1976, and Kiss was playing San Francisco Cow Palace. I was just 14, and I was absolutely blown away.
I have listened to this song a thousand times and I never get tired of listening to it again - it is a MAGIC only FEW songs possess - you dancing while you listen is the BEST review you could do !
Its hard to convey just how incredible the artistry of the 70's and early 80's really were. Little or no audio enhancements but rather raw talent. The guitars, heavy drum's, sax's, and full orchestra's used and melting with the vocals was magic. It isnt fair that so many didnt get to live this and many only now realizing the mastery of it all. We are thrilled you all get to realize and enjoy it.
mmmm Listen to Rock and Roll all night, Crazy, Crazy, Nights, Reason to Live,Lick it up, I still love you, to name but just a few.. Glad you are having a whale of a good time listening to one of the all time Greatest Rock'N'Roll bands !. Greatings from Spain.
I remember in the late 70's the music magazines used to chase Kiss around trying to get a picture of them without makeup. They would have teasers like "Kiss caught without Makeup" and the picture would be them with hats and sunglasses and other items on obscuring their faces! It was quite the gimmick for years and we never really did see their faces. For their "Lick it Up" video they finally removed the makeup and when the public saw them, they begged them to put it back on!
KISSes only foray into a disco feel. it was Co-written by Paul Stanley and is the one song Gene Simmons detests. Now, although in their trademark makeup and costumes, Their Live Shows are big into Lights, Effects, Fire Breathing/Spitting Blood and Pyrotechnics. For a Slow Ballad, there's the Iconic Song "Beth" and there's just too many to list for PARTYING! Heck, Their song "Love Gun" is a song about a guy's ----- !
Believe it or not,one of the best things I found KISS music for is.....cooking. When preparing a feast for yourself or the family, songs like this or "Sure Know Something",or "Is That You?" or "Torpedo Girl" or "Rock n Roll All Nite" or "Tears Are Falling" or "Heaven's On Fire" make sure that it's just not what's in the frypan that's sizzling....
Kiss was very underrated back in the day they were competing with Boston and Peter Frampton , Foreigner Styx and other great groups 1976 I love your reaction though so much fun
Kiss is a trip! Keep going down that rabbit hole! Are you familiar with Bob Segar? If not, you need to experience some Bob. “Like a rock”, “Night Moves” would be a good start
I stayed up so late tonight watching your reaction videos. Your unvarnished emotion reminds me of the first time I listened to these years ago. Your comments on a couple of the older songs about the singers putting their emotions out there really resonated -- that just doesn't happen (much) today. If I may, can I suggest a couple for you: Carole King - I Feel the Earth Move (BBC In Concert, February 10, 1971) and Bread - If; I think you'll enjoy both for different reasons. :) Subscribed...
I first seen kiss live in Jackson Mississippi in 1978. What a wild night I could write a book about the crazy things that happens. My cool ass aunt got me sold out tickets and she got us backstage. OMG😂😮 The things my eyes seen. Lol But this song is not the real KISS this was the end of the original band. You should try 👉 Doctor Love 👈 or 👉Detroit Rock City 👈 hell any of there early stuff was rockin
Loved the reaction. And, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE listen to Coast Contra's new Breath & Stop Freestyle. It's their best one yet. And as you ready know, that's saying a lot!!!
Hello pretty lady! Is this your first Kiss reaction? Can I ask how you came about to react to this song? It's a good song , but not their normal sound. Many other great songs that no one ever reacts to unfortunately.
Don't get used to it. This is not what you will get from KISS all the time. This track was basically a one off "Disco" tune. Make no mistake, KISS are a hard rock band, and if this is what you're expecting from them, you're gonna be sadly disappointed.
They know what they are singing about. Gene Simmons claimed to have made love to 4600 women. Including Cher or Diana Ross. But he did not like this song that much as his part was mainly the "doo...doo...doo...doo...doooo...".
Along with Lick It Up, probably the dumbest Kiss song ever written! Plus it was a bit discoey, so that was a strike against it! Try I Love It Loud and Detroit Rock City! Not really a KISS fan, but those two songs are decent!
Rocks golden era is over. That's why reaction videos like this are important to keep great art alive!
agreed
So true. But, where the roots exist, the tree will grow again. ❤🤟
Oprah once asked Gene Simons how long his tongue is and he said long enough to make us best friends! 😂😂😂
I remember that the look on Oprah's face was priceless
Ace freely is one of the best guitar players and drummer great music
Actually he said "Long enough to make you my very closest friend".
gotta see if I can find a clip of that, what a funny answer lol
I remember that.
One off my favorite kiss songs, kiss Army will probably hate hearing that
I was 13 in 1979 when this song was released. And then I discovered another awesome band called Thin Lizzy. 1985 I bought my first bass guitar and became an Iron Maiden fanatic and also got right into all the blues greats. So many good ones. And then there's Rory Gallagher. Just brilliant!
"You real nasty". I don't think you could shame him with that comment, he'd take it as a compliment 😂
Easily the best blend of rock and disco.
I love living vicariously through people discovering great music for the first time! Watching Ashley react to KISS reminds me of hearing them for the first time myself back in the day. Rock and roll will never die.
I have always said that the solo in this song, has to be the BEST short guitar solos of all time! KISS Alive 1 and 2, you can't go wrong!!!!!
This is a classic. I was 17 when this came out in 1979. The song is just great.

Kiss, one of the best glam-rock band every! 🖤😎🤘🔥👄👅
The beat in this song never gets old!
The 70's music ruled!
70s movies too
Great band, and they were my first concert. It was the end of 1976, and Kiss was playing San Francisco Cow Palace. I was just 14, and I was absolutely blown away.
KISS " Sure Know Something " official video
So much more out there and still going strong !
I can see how this is Girl's Dynamite, Saying charmy and sexy things while giving out a bad boy vibe!
I have listened to this song a thousand times and I never get tired of listening to it again - it is a MAGIC only FEW songs possess - you dancing while you listen is the BEST review you could do !
11 years young when this came out, the best of times.
Good music is universal and inclusive to everybody, period!
This song made KISS the number 1 band in the world back in the day
Vibe and energy grabs a hold from the start, too late can't cut loose from the lyrics, she says no, vibe says yes

@@coolbreeze5741 🤷♂️ Didn’t know there were rules for requesting songs.
Love this disco era Kiss vibe.
I love watching women's reactions to this song. When Paul hits the high C, so do they. They Gene finishes them with his tongue action on the bass.
KISS ARE THE MAIN INFLUENCE TO PRINCE . facts 💯⚡️⚡️🎶🎶😎
Hey, thanks for the video and yeah the '70s were great talking to be alive for many reasons one of them was the music

Kiss is a trip! Keep going down that rabbit hole!
Are you familiar with Bob Segar? If not, you need to experience some Bob. “Like a rock”, “Night Moves” would be a good start
Seger, not Segar or Seager

Your expressions make me smile 😊. Take a listen to Child in time by Deep Purple.
Wow, remember when talent was a prerequisite to being a household name?
Kiss symphony-Deuce

Funny thing about this tune is it was written as a bet.

Klassic kiss
You need to watch Tears are Falling video by kiss.
Listen to "The Immigrant Song" but make sure you can read the lyrics.
Hi I just ran across a song you might like..it's called What's Happening Baby..by the Soul Children..
Whoever writes the songs was challenged and told he can't come up with a disco themed love song. He proved them wrong.
his tongue was one of the most famous things about him.
I feel like you could play this to any Power Rangers episode
.. madam, my respect..!
You'd better tell your husband the way he was looking at you Ashley. That boy was NASTY!!! :)
Reactors seem to choose their disco stuff. Try their rock stuff..or better yet listen to Beth. That tongue can reach all them hiding places.
It's time for meatloaf !! ... no, not the food, but the singer !! ... "Meatloaf - Two Out Of Three Aint Bad"
Can u plz do ltd love ballad

Please react to revelation by D12

MARVIN GAYE'S LEGACY MESSAGE COMETH IF YOU LISTEN TO OLIVER ANTHNOY'S "RICH MEN NORTH OF RICHMOND." TRULY INSPIRATIONAL.
Oldie

Easily one of the most overrated bands in history. Cool schtick at the time and a couple of catchy tunes. Meh.
