Could someone explain wedding rings to me like I’m in kindergarten. I’m 30 year old guy, might be popping the question in the next 6 months to my beautiful girlfriend of almost 4 years. I’ve never thought about this in my life and recently learned there’s different rings. I always thought I just buy 1 diamond ring and propose, and that’s the ring she wears for the rest of her life. My questions are: everything. Is the ring I propose with the one she wears forever? What ring does the ring 🐻 carry down the alter (same ring or different wedding ring)? If she says yes should I start wearing a wedding band thing (who is expected to buy that)? Do I go shopping with my fiance together for my engagement wearing ring? Do I wear that same engagement band after I get married? Wear different stuff after wedding? I’m really confused on the whole thing, and don’t want to ask this in person to anybody. Just trying to figure out how this works and how many rings I’m supposed to buy overall. I always thought it was simple (1 nice diamond ring), but I looked some stuff up and see several ring procedures and getting confused.
This is super helpful! Before watching this I did not know a 4 prong round was easier to get flush with a wedding band than a 6 prong! In future videos, can you continue to share what limitations or advantages each engagement ring design has in regards to pairing?

Wish I had gotten half eternity for the exact reason you mentioned. My jeweler says he can size my closed basket low profile eternity ring a small amount by shaving down the inside. About 3ct tcw small finger size. Is this a bad idea? Thanks

I have one of those emerald full eternity wedding band with my oval diamond engagement ring. I regret having full. It scratches. I. Particular my car door handle. I would definitely recommend half band as it's more smooth.

Hi Bonnie, I got married last September but I am still having a really hard time finding the wedding band of my dreams. I currently have a moissanite radiant cut and silver Cartier wedding band. However, every single jeweler I have gone to either does not carry lab-grown full eternity and/or half eternity radiant wedding bands that are really low profile. Since I cannot find the ring in person to try it on, I cannot commit to customizing my wedding band with any jeweler and end up not loving it. Can you please shed some light on this issue?
