i think this series was so well loved because it didn't leave much space for Arin and Dan to have random conversations and they just focused on goofing around with the game, it also helps a lot that Dan was invested in the story, his reactions are so precious, I really wish he would play Brothers (the previous game this studio made) to the end, I'm sure he would love it.
In terms of creativity and consistency, this was probably my favorite GG series. It was just amazing how they brought them two dudes to life. I guess having an interesting game (both in content and in gameplay) helps a lot!
Yeah, you're right! For me, his is not the kind of game I'd find interesting, but thanks to the characters the Grumps gave Leo and Vincent, I was even inspired to do some fan art. And it made that ending and all the plot holes just not matter, cause it hit 'em emotionally.

One of the better beginning moments IMO is when Arin's character gets to his cell for the first time and puts his shirt on first, to which Dan notes "Oh wow, shirt first? That's a bold move."
I have to give this game credit for how it builds up cooperation between the players, before suddenly turning the tables on the players and suddenly forcing them to switch from and destroy the teamwork they’d gotten the hang of. It’s a nice way to do a twist ending.

This series genuinely cheers me up when I’m sad. I find myself always coming back to this, there really isn’t any way that you can be depressed while watching this. I can’t say this enough but Christ, these guys are my go-to sadness curing bois.

Just think about anything that this game does story-wise, and it is pure nonsense (even by terrible game standards). Yeah, I'm hating on this game because it was written by 8 year-olds, but GG playing it all the way through was an absolute treat. I love this series, but calling this game anything beyond "playable" is a joke.
Can I just say, the concept of you playing co-op for a whole game with your friend only for you to have to kill eachother in the end was really cool and really added to the stakes.

In a Way Out 2, we find out Leo isn't dead, his bulletproof jacket protected him. Turns out he was an Internal Affairs agent, who planned this whole thing to investigate claims that Vincent was befriending random inmates and escaping with them just to kill them. Vincent was the psycho all along.
