I've been searching youtube for the perfect setup. I had been considering this type of belt for working around my 6 acres. Hubby calls it a batman utility belt. After seeing yours in action I'm going to go for it! Thanks!
Great video! I have a similar set but based on the older ALICE belt and suspenders, although I have just ordered a battle belt as in upgrade. While I can see why you like to be able to spin your belt around, for us folks who are less than skinny, the addition of the suspenders/harness makes the set up much more comfortable to carry. With regards the pinpointer carry, I took the standard sheath/holster that came with mine and stitched on a webbing loop so it hangs/ drops slightly below the belt...I find the flex this introduces makes for a more comfortable carry than having it high and tight against the belt. With my setup I have the pinpointer and hand trowel on my left hip and my finds pouch on my right...around the back I have a small admin pouch, one of those roll up dump pouches normally carried rolled up, and a pouch that holds a 1 pint water bottle or flask, plus a bit of food for the day. I can reach this pouch while wearing the belt without too much trouble. In really warm weather, I use the dump pouch to carry another water bottle, but heat is not usually a major issue here in the UK...
I needed a good case for a battle belt I do metal detecting to so this is a great idea and if ever needed switch layout put on my plate carrier and be badass thanks for the idea this gives me more carry capacity for way more if needed 🙏🏻😎🇱🇺🥕🎶🎧
Still toying with the idea of a metal detector ever since you did your first video with the Ace 300. I really don’t like the idea of a yellow metal detector, but that AT Pro is a heck of a lot more money for something I have no idea how much use I would give it. I wonder if painting the Ace 300, maybe a nice camo, would affect performance any?
I think painting it would be fine. Hell i should do a video on that!. As for the AT pro, its a different animal if you want it to be, using the standard mode or pro mode. Honestly, if you dont want to spend AT pro kinda money, because you may not use it enough, the Ace 300 is a fun little detector, Ive found most of the change in my detecting jar wit that detector. And i found a cap gun revolver from the 50s! that had my heart racing when i first seen it in the dirt.
@@ZRUSOutdoorsChannel Yes, a painting video on the Ace 300! Should I get one, I’d burry stuff in the back yard and mess around a little, but my main interest would be gold. I know from research that there are several different coils that can be used with the Ace 300 and a good video on the different coils on the Garrett web site.
@@gapster46 well ill tell you this, gold will be found on a more specific coil than the Ace 300. that being said. The ace 300 will serve you well for casual digging.

Thank you for sharing your set. I looked at your review last year and started collecting the same one. Really convenient!
Great set up !!! I'm coveting those two forward dump pouches !!
Yeah, you can attach them to a regular belt as well.
Wow that is an awesome set up I love the invention for the Garrett carrot 🥕
I detect a ton. Love this idea and I may just adopt it.
right on man, what detector are you using ?
@@ZRUSOutdoorsChannel Garrett AT Pro and the Minelab Equinox 800.
@@the.tricky.outdoorsman sweet, I’ve been considering the Minelab equinox 600

Nice little belt rig!
Do you have a list of everything on your battle belt. Great idea.

What is your original base setup without the additional add on options. Like belt does it have access to carabiner
Nice set up!
Thanks Eltenda!
Nice setup
Thank you, Dave!
