- Father's Day is just around the corner. Can you believe it? When I thought of what to make to honour all the dads out there, I thought of Dad's favourite things... Some peace and quiet, a newspaper, and a CUP OF COFFEE! So I took the traditional cafÈ au lait and turned it into the ultimate CAK… AU LAIT! I may have taken this #DadCake to the next level with the amount of coffee-related snacks and goodies stacked into it, but it was so worth it.
Vanilla and chocolate cakes layered with vanilla, chocolate, and COFFEE buttercream with cookies, halved doughnuts, chocolate covered ESPRESSO BEANS and crushed coffee crisp in between. I topped the whole thing off with my delicious 7-minute frosting and a giant cookie. IT. WAS. DELICIOUS.

there will be no visible crumbs in between the cake layers if u pipe it in rings! if u spread it the crumbs might stick as u spread it everywhere
The thick rings will provide a place for the extra stuff to sink into if needed

It's late to comment, but for anyone who looks at this, it might be easier for beginners because when you blend the colors, you take off some frosting, especially if you are a beginner and spreading it makes it hard to make a thick layer to start with.
Can I just say that I'm 100% sure that your dad is looking from above and has approved of this cake! RIP The real Mr Cake and Yolanda you do you and keep these cakes the way they are! 💙💝💙
