The RuPaul Show is an American talk/variety show that premiered on VH1 in 1996.Hosted by drag performer, RuPaul, the show had many famous musical guests and was notable as being one of the first national television programs in the United States hosted by an openly gay host. Former singer turned radio personality, Michelle Visage was the show's co-host.
I used to absolutely adore this show! Could never understand why it wasn't more popular. Ahead of its time, maybe?
The world wasn't even ready then, they weren't even ready 13 years AFTER this when Drag Race premiered and a large majority of it IS STILL TO THIS DAY not ready... sad, but at least there's progress

I was so excited!!! Ru looked STUNNING in it still. Cant believe that tiny little dress still fits her like a glove.
Its not about recycling. Its about nostalgia. And not many ppl can wear same dress almost 30yrs later and still look that STUNNING.

This was actually horrible. Legit horrible. I'm glad it got canceled because RuPaul has gotten so much better on the new show. Maybe its just being more mature and experienced.

oh my goodness. this rocks! it is actually refreshing to see mama Ru not so polished and Michelle Visage, what to say, what to say... She's blonde and her breasts are smaller but that is okay. I think that she is beautiful whether she is blonde or black and whether she is is a c cup or DD. This was so fun to watch. Thanks for sharing. much love

i grew up as a grade schoool kid with this stuff and its all I watched. i loved mtv and vh1 back in the 90s so much.... i watched the rupaul show and singled out with jenny mcarthy .! those were the two big ones for me. i have the original Foxy Lady Cd in its case still with the fold out poster lol.

If only the queens competing today would realize that every challenge on Drag Race is literally based off of THIS show. Ru and the judges want them to carry themselves as Ru did HERE. This show features literally every aspect of the challenges now. Lip synching. Interviewing. Bring interviewed. Comedic skits. And more.

I liked how back then Rupaul was always in drag for his television appearances and his talk show. Nowadays Rupaul hardly ever dress up in drag I only see him dressed in drag on his Rupauls drag race show
