The whole album is amazing. Nightwish does their own thing. They don't play to expectations and that's why I love them. You truly never know what you're getting, but it is ALWAYS good.
A few years ago I used to sing with an amateur group who visited various care homes in the West of England where I Live. We would sing the old War songs that many of the residents would have remembered, and it was amazing to see and hear Alzheimer sufferers begin to hum and sing along. The power of music is incalculable, and it brings us all together. You take care.
My grandmother was a music teacher - mostly piano - before and during WWII. In her later years her Alzheimer's made her not even recognise her own children, let alone us grandchildren. As it happened, we went to celebrate her 80th birthday at the care home with the whole family, she didn't really know who we were or what was happening. But after a bite of her favourite cake she started tapping her hands on the table, as if playing the keys again, and sang the song she taught my mother and her siblings, and us. (An old Flemish fisherman's song.) She passed away a couple of months later, but indeed, music has a way with the mind, and also contains a resonance beyond disease.
I have to say you are a truly kind and generous person Kevin Gunning to do that. For them it's a lot of peace to remember the songs that got them through those harrowing times.
I fell in love with this song the first few seconds of hearing it this morning! The whole album is truly epic, and this song is glorious :) You need to hear another song from the album, 'Shoemaker' is honestly incredible - its about a geologist, Eugene Shoemaker, and its worth reading his story, its a really cool story, and the song thats inspired by him is truly stunning and epic :) You wont believe the vocal gymnastics Floor does in that song!

Tuomas said many times that his greatest musical inspiration comes from Hans Zimmer. That's why why we feel that kind of epic movie original soundtrack style in many songs of this pure genius composer. Tuomas really ROCKS!
I know exactly what you mean. First time I heard Music I burst into tears. All that anticipation that had built up these years, waiting for the next album. The perfect album opener!
You and me are in a similar situation, both NW newbies. I never listened to metal in my life, but I did listen a lot to prog rock in the 70s, as a high schoolboy (now guess my age😂). So I don’t care if they don’t sound ‘metal’ enough, I just care about the high level of composition and musicianship. Without Floor’s promotion on our national TV (now guess my county🤣), I would never have discovered NW in the first place. With this album they prove how original they are, they’ve transcended the ‘symphonic metal’ classification in my humble opinion. I really enjoy your reactions by the way!
I had the same experience last night when the album dropped.. What. A. Journey it was. And still is. Wheef😥 And I think you understand their music, that makes me want to watch you every time. Rock on!
Once again good reaction. And this is how it begins ... This album must be their best, so much things which need a lot of skill and Tuomas took everything out from his team. They even needed to learn and practice new things to be able play this album. But they did it and so we are the winners! We got amazing music.

This new album is so powerful. It's been out since Friday and I've only managed to listen to this song and "Shoemaker", because I literally need an entire day to process a single piece. Honestly, this album already seems to have topped their "Endless Forms Most Beautiful" for me. Can't wait to listen to more songs myself and watch some more reactions as well!
Great effect showing the godlike sound at the beginning. Tuomas loves Disney soundtracks. The chorus when it kicks in just takes you away. So joyous! This CD is way ahead of its time. The ending leaves you feeling like a there is a question unanswered?
You always expect a lot from Nightwish but you always get so much more...every song is a genius show from Tuomas, Floors singing and all others...I love this album.

It only gets better and better every time I hear this song. First time I heard it I had a bit of a hard time getting in to it. Now I just need it in my life. lol
I think you might not have heard enough old Nightwish to compare, but yes this is a very polished and highly produced sound. But early Nightwish is like a different band when year hear how much different the sound was to now. Don't let this new album deter you from checking out their old stuff at some point.
I completely agree with you. Of course the new album is great, it's Nightwish, their worst songs are better than the better ones of most bands, but I'm sure that in a couple of years, when Nightwish finds a new reactor who don't know the band, they will not tell him to react at first to any of the songs of this album. It will still be Ghost love score, The Poet... or Greatest Show... Greetings and stay safe
Hey Mate, I'm enjoying your Nightwish reactions, but may I suggest you react to Nightwish - Poet and The Pendulum live at Wembley 2015 before you start on the Human :||: Nature journey? it'll be worth it! Tuomas wrote the song about his feelings during the bands hiccups. Grab some tissues too :)
Oooh, you will just LOVE this album. Did already listen to the official music/lyric videos of the 3 singles from this album? (Noise, Harvest, Ad Astra). What I really consider incredible is, apart from establishing Troy as the 3rd vocalist of the band (he did back vocals on other songs, mainly backing Marco though), Tuomas also brought in his wife. She has a very sweet voice and is part of Tuomas' side project with her and Troy. She mainly does lyrical readings in this album, especially in the last part of 'Shoemaker' and the third single 'Ad Astra'. Btw, as of now I just can't decide which song is my favorite of this album (happens to me with every Nightwish album since 1998 lol), but this one and 'Shoemaker' (dedicated to Eugene Merle Shoemaker, another incredible individual whose existence was such a gift to humankind and our modern society) are kind of sticking out. Maybe also the accoustic version of 'How's the heart', only Floor and Troy, recorded for Planet Rock. Seriously, those guys know how to give fanservice.
Here we go! Our journey with Nightwish took unexpected turn here) On the line "Have you ever heard Music?" I got goosebumps all over my body including eyes. I really love Tribal and Pan also.
The mandatory NW reaction threesome is: The Poet And The Pendulum (Wembley Park Live), Master Passion Greed (their heaviest song) and The Greatest Show on Earth (Vehicle of Spirit Live)
It actually is a pity you are not listening to the whole record over and over again dor the full experience. This afternoon I took the doggies out for a walk in the dunes, sat down in the lovely sunshine overlooking the immense beauty... first time listening in nature: MAGIC, love healing my shattering heart, energizing so I can hold on without losing my mind, finding the silence and in there the power to do what is needed now, the eye of the storm. Take care
There are mixed reactions to the new album so far. Some fans would like them to stick to the same style as before. My favourite song so far is Tribal (but it could change again).
Well, I have seen a planet rock accoustic version of How's the Heart that dropped a day ago and loved it but want to see the whole band in concert though with current things it may be some time away
Ive been listening to new NW stuff all day, and this song at first listen, didnt get me, 2nd listen i got it in, and now its my 2nd favorite song, on this album, top 4 is still close.. but thats how it goes, tommorow is a new day, and i might be in another mood, so my favorites switch again..my favorire is...Pan so far..

2 . The greatest show on earth
with this row!
This album is beyond amazing. Tribal that song . Epic indeed
again the compositions of music pieces and the colors in layers and layers of colors damn man what damn awesome sounds and vibes here if you don't like this then i don't know what to tell ya
They could cover " Old McDonald had a farm " and I would love it !
I believe you ! Me too
Listen to "the life and times of scrooge", by tuomas.
Can you react to Evergrey: In Orbit (feat Floor Jansen)
I only just started my journey with the new album, but I already love "Music" with my whole soul. What an amazing, absolutely beautiful song.
Love the new album!! Love Nightwish! Love Floor!!! Can't wait to hear them live 🤩
This song start like a epic movie score and sound soo spacefull (I don't know good word in english for describing this so much hugde sound feeling), energetic and joyfull. I like it very much. I wish You (and to all of Us) a lot of health and Happy Easter. 🙂
It only gets better and better every time I hear this song. First time I heard it I had a bit of a hard time getting in to it. Now I just need it in my life. lol
Only one thing to say: "Thank You For The Music!" ;-)
The whole album is pure gold ! ❤️✨✨✨✨
Yeah...you need to get GSOE done before hitting this album. This follows on. Also the album works really well IN ORDER, more so than previous albums
Bro you nailed! at the beggining sounds just like a Disney movie haha!
I think you might not have heard enough old Nightwish to compare, but yes this is a very polished and highly produced sound. But early Nightwish is like a different band when year hear how much different the sound was to now. Don't let this new album deter you from checking out their old stuff at some point.
i knew that Tuomas would go deep into the folk weeds and reduce Floor to a mood setter..
Thank you. It's on my list and will be there soon. 😎🤘
And don't forget to pause it a few times cause The Poet and the Pendulum is the video that got blocked a lot! 🤟
Thanks
4:15 I just felt the same way the first time (yesterday) I heard the track, like "Earth give me the ENERGYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY arrrrrrrgggg"
The picture behind you at the wall remember me: Nightwish - The Islander (Live At Tampere)
You're the only reactor I can actually see the goosebumps on 😂
It's crazy 😅
Floor said that this was the hardest one for her to sing, very challenging
I think that this song and whole album sound exactly than Tuomas has ment to be. It is MUSIC, not heavy metal. Thank you for your honest reaction🥴
The transitions cause the goosebumps 😄
Music is great but Tribal is amazing.
(ÜBER GEIL)🤘🤯🤘
Nighwish is amazing , Nightwish is Music!
Endless form most beautiful, official video.
Edema ruh. official video 😁
is such a lovely song, its my favorite listen in the car album :)

The whole record😉
Here we go! Our journey with Nightwish took unexpected turn here)
On the line "Have you ever heard Music?" I got goosebumps all over my body including eyes.
I really love Tribal and Pan also.
The mandatory NW reaction threesome is: The Poet And The Pendulum (Wembley Park Live), Master Passion Greed (their heaviest song) and The Greatest Show on Earth (Vehicle of Spirit Live)
Floor's technical singing is something to behold, really can't think of another human can do that....
Ansiosa por ver a floor cantando esse álbum ao vivo
It actually is a pity you are not listening to the whole record over and over again dor the full experience. This afternoon I took the doggies out for a walk in the dunes, sat down in the lovely sunshine overlooking the immense beauty... first time listening in nature: MAGIC, love healing my shattering heart, energizing so I can hold on without losing my mind, finding the silence and in there the power to do what is needed now, the eye of the storm. Take care
Excellent Reaction!! Pan, Tribal and Shoemaker!!The whole Album 🤘😱👍stay safe!
I'm looking forward to the tour. In November I will be in Düsseldorf.
"They reached a superhigh level - now they are untouchable"
You said it 👍
There are mixed reactions to the new album so far. Some fans would like them to stick to the same style as before. My favourite song so far is Tribal (but it could change again).
Evening Glow nearly all the reactions I’ve seen have been very positive for the album
I can't wait for that one.
This is MUSIC! Yes WOW!!!
Pan..Shoemaker...Tribal...hows the heart...Endeless (Marco Singing)
I can't wait until we get to see some high quality live performances of the new material. Great reaction
Well, I have seen a planet rock accoustic version of How's the Heart that dropped a day ago and loved it but want to see the whole band in concert though with current things it may be some time away
Excellent!!!! The whole album is a masterpiece!!!!! 😊🤘🤘❤️🤘🤘
You should check out a band called Amberian Dawn, it's a band whose whole vibe is this kind of ABBA upbeat thing
I recommend you The Dark Element and Metalite, both bands very melodic and great sound
I could certainly see this as being their opening for future shows
Ive been listening to new NW stuff all day, and this song at first listen, didnt get me, 2nd listen i got it in, and now its my 2nd favorite song, on this album, top 4 is still close.. but thats how it goes, tommorow is a new day, and i might be in another mood, so my favorites switch again..my favorire is...Pan so far..
Nightwish doesn't just make music they make a experience that transports you
Dude, this album is FRIGGEN amazing!. Enjoy listening and reacting because you've got at least 9 KILLER songs on tap. More if you wanna react to the compositions on side B ("Nature")
And from early days. Beauty of The beast ft. Tony kakko.
This as a first song on a new album. Respect to all! For me it was also the first time of Music. And certainly not the last time....
