SU for Dummies Part 1: What’s an SU?

SU stands for Students’ Union. An SU is a student-led organisation that is separate & independent from the university it’s associated with. All students are automatically members and can get involved in and organise all sorts of activities! Students’ Unions have student representatives who advocate for students’ interests within the University and campaign on issues that are important to current students. Through your SU you can join in with these campaigns or join societies, sports clubs, go to the bars or shops, or represent your fellow students in a variety of roles!
