@@enriquesanchez2001 it's so hippie dippie, literally makes no sense.I swear the authors dropped acid of something when writing the song.

Maybe you didn’t live during this time or maybe it was area based but where/when I grew up it WAS wildly popular.

It's still one of the most epic songs ever composed for a movie.

I saw this at a packed house at the Ziegfeld in New York, I was maybe 17 years old.. The place was one big scream and cheer when the song ended. And then outside on W 54 st.. The line for the next show went down to 6th av and around the corner ! There was some guy on a megaphone saying something like the next show was sold out, tickets for the late show on sale soon, meantime car horns are blowing, people all over the place..such a thrilling New York moment !

The choir are all meant to be students - they all look like suburban moms and dads. I was 15-when this movie came out - guess we looked older back then.

The Body Electric song was possibly inspired by the Twilight episode about an AI/Droid grandmother who came to help raise some orphaned children after their mom died. I saw it once and it became a favorite episode of mine along with the song. The sound inspired me to return to education and I never looked back.
